Not only did he get 4 goals, but thought it was one of his best all-round performances. I think we need to change the title of this thread. I for one am not worried! :D

And how many will he score in the Grand Final? I say 6.:thumbsu::)

Can anybody tell me why Jack changes his kicking style? When he keeps to his methos from early in the year he is still a dead eye dick when he points the ball at more of an angle to his boot his accuracy drops off. Look at todays game great examples. The misses he had a changed kicking style.

He/Collingwood changed Jack's kicking style to get more distance out of his kicking.

Yesterday he kicked a goal from outside 50 that he wouldn't have been able to kick with his old technique.

His accuracy has been off a bit, but it will improve over time, and now he can also kick goals from 55-60 out which he couldn't before.

Blame Paul Hudson if you must, but I believe now that the change has actually given Jack more confidence in his natural game style, and in his approach to the game.

Jack really could be anything, there is still a lot of improvement in him, I can see him kicking 80-90 goals one year with the midfield supply he has to look forward to.:D

I believe once he learns how to time his leads he will be much improved as well.

He's always looking for body at the moment. He will add more size to his frame also and grow into the perfect sized full forward.

I think it was about 5 or 6 weeks ago the article came out talking about his difficulty personality and all the problems he has full of quotes from one of the coaches at the club.

When I was reading that article Im thinking why the hell would or did the club come out and reveal all this ...

Ever since then he's played like an absolute sub dud ....

Hes been torn to shreds by his opponents of late.

Hes always been a low possesion winner and now hes been missing shots on goal and wasting the few opportunities he gets.

He's lucky to have retained his spot.

Hopefully he can turn it around ...

Hopefully its not as bad as I think it might be and im still just peeved with how absolute crap he was against brisbane. Hopefully he can improve on it ...
You have the golden touch

Every time you go off on a rant the team, player or coach comes good

When we win the flag i suggest you change nicks

Im flattered mate but I dont take any of that back.

He was struggling and was indeed lucky not to be dropped.

The reason why he wasnt dropped (and why I wouldnt have dropped him either) was because he has great potential and when up and going is crucial to our structure. Given the potential and ability he has, the criticism that he wasnt performing was appropriate.

Rapt with his return to form and hopefully he gets his kicking accuracy back soon to.

Lets hope he can continue this form into September.

There is one left you said we couldnt do that we havent and thats win the flag

What I heartless thing to say! Did your Dad leave you when you were 4? Did you grow up with mostly females and hence not having many male friends and mostly having female friends and people making rumours that your gay because you hang around mostly woman!

Obviously looking at your statement above you have no Idea what this Kid has gone through. Look I cannot understand myself what Jack has gone through but I must say I have greater respect for Jack now then I ever had.

Jack keep you head held High mate and I hope true happiness comes your way cos you deserve it Mate!

P.S Hope you have a big one against the swans mate!:thumbsu:

Just because you don't give a crap doesn't mean no one else should. I don't think anyone corrolates kicking less goals with hi father leaving the family. We just show an interest in a man we cheer for every weekend.
And for the record, anyone with two eyes and a longstanding interest in Jack's style can see the run up hasn't changed one iota. Seven paces, seven jogs. I ought to know - I count him in every time.

Sure I sympathies with him in regards to his situation but to say it has any bearing on his form is absolute nonsense. Harry O'Briens dad took his own life recently and he's in near to all Australian form.

Every time he's had a bad miss his run up has been way shorter and his hand positioning on the ball is different. He has a pretty elaborate routine when he kicks well.

Maybe that tragedy has spurred Harry on this year. If you read what he wrote about it in Harry's World (on CFC website) it would certainly seem so.

The hand positioning of the ball has changed for his long distance kicking. But as I said before, to say his run up has changed is a crock. I took special note of it at the Swans game and he's still doing his 7+7 run up. Are you even watching or counting it before you make these comments??

Some people in life interpret things differently and thus what’s happening off field can affect various people differently on the field etc… Im not gonna sit here and say that my experience were the same because I played a different sport professionally so footy is a whole new world to me. But a lot of things that happened off court affected my on court performance. Also you need to understand that J.A plays up front which means if he stuffs a goal or whatever its noticed more. My point is that when your labeled by the media etc about who you are as a person that hurts, the media labels J.A as being weird and different. If we had a bunch of blokes that put on there black and white shirts every weekend with the same personality I would be sick of watching our boys. I’m glad that Jack has regained some stunning form as of late and hope he has a long and successful career, after all this boy truly deserves it. (PS J.A routine is 7 and 7, 7 jogs and 7 runs).

Go the pies!

You must remember that people handle grief differently. Yes Harry seem's to be handling his grief well and it has seemed not to have affected his form so far this year but Jack has only had 5 bad weeks from Round 14-18 (Which I think most people on this forum would expect a drop in form from a kid who is only 21). But his last 3 weeks have been sensational and last week was the best match I have seen JA play!

For christ sake Pie fans support the kid because this kid is gonna be something special for us for the next 10 years! I can feel It!;)

I love this kid coz he's a totally unique individual, a great footballer who shows promise of being the best Full Forward in the league someday and, as I am female, he's a hot as hell!!:D
