I don't get why people don't like him, one of my favorites from another team. Funny shaped head on him, but can't deny his ability. And I haven't seen the arrogance others talk about, he seems to just go about his business.

And who gives a **** if he cried, really. Just shows he loves his footy

Great kick from Anthony, done under intense pressure

Kind of sad that posters feel the need to bag a player after kicking such an awesome goal

I think too many of the BigFooty members posting in this thread don't know what passion is when they see it, instead confusing it with 'being a wimp'.

Very good goal from him under pressure. Always a good sign in a player but what the hell was he doing after the match? Crying?

And why is crying bad ? I've seen players from all teams including Sydney's getting emotional. Jack had a career threatening injury two years ago and has his own reasons for breaking down. He's just a kid FFS !

All you douches saying "wtf was he crying for"
You have never, and will NEVER understand how much player give in terms of dedication, training ect... every day of theirs lives, for a GAME, YES ITS A GAME.
So the tears were clearly a player who just finished 2 hours of draining effort and it was just a major relief, a happiness, that the team he gives everything for got over the line.

Yes I know we probably won't beat Geelong next week, but some of you people are serious ***** (insert word similar to ******s or something) and you would be those parents at their sons footy match screaming at oppositions and umpires, WHEN IT'S A GAME, YES A GAME.

So please, have nothing nice or intelligent to say, don't say it, coz you make yourself look like a fool.

Don't act all wise. I forgot he had his serious injury, so I can understand him being emotional. If the above is true why doesn't every player cry after the match? The reason people are talking about it, is because it's rare so don't make comments like he is acting normally.
Have you played at the highest level before?

I think there are different contexts surrounding Jack compared to other players. I mean, he's young and just won a finals game in his second proper season off his own foot. Don't see why you would think it's strange to see him showing some emotion?

Only because he came back from a serious injury. If Adelaide had won, I doubt Tippett would have cried. I'm not having a go at Anthony, I can understand his emotions now, so I take back my initial comment.

**** me, this board if full of testosterone pumping w***er males. Jack was crying out of pure happyiness for what he did; winning the game off his boot. This is something any footballer dreams of, and he is obvously very happy for it. It's nice to see some passion for once, instead of the usual boring expressions from players after they win.

This. He's not a pansy on the field, I don't care if he has emotion and shows them as long as he gets the job done!

Also, I'm sure he's incredibly happy that he stood up and kicked a pressure goal when it counted after he had a pretty poor game until that point.

Yeah. I think it was mentioned that Mick took him aside at half time and told him to get out there and actually do something. Had a fairly poor game, but getting that goal saved his arse, I'm sure he was pretty relieved he managed to contribute at the end.

this guy is probably my favourite non north player

you can tell there is something not quite right going on in his head and its awesome

hopefully he does something for the footy show final again

Typical Carlton attitude to everything. Winners make it happen. And happen it did. Jack, and Leroy, stood up when it counted. Thank you so much Jack and Leroy.

Ah well. We're having our fun, and lapping it up.

Anthony and Leroy>Judd, Murphy and Gibbs.

They actually delivered when it mattered. :D

thats the first time i've seen the replay. at the time i thought the free was soft but the replay shows it was clearly there. rutten had both of his arms locked around anthony's right arm as anthony was making his leap
