From what I heard, he wasn't invited.

Halfway through the ceremony, Jack enters the church in jogging gear, runs up the aisle and shakes Licuria's hand, then runs back out again.

Don't know how accurate my version of the story is.

Haha.

I would absolutely love for that to be true.

I just pissed myself laughing, if that's actually true, the man is my hero!

Don't know if he ran up the aisle, but the version I heard was that he opened the doors and yelled "Thanks for inviting me Licca, have a great time" or something along those lines, and left again. :\

But yeah, I'm not certain how accurate the details are either, but I'm fairly confident something along those lines did occur. You'll notice the triple M commentary team actually refer to him as 'The Wedding Crasher'

was a good kick. and it's good, great to see a player tear up. why not? the man got his team into a prelim with the winning goal. that is exactly why six year old kids tell their dad they want to play for their team when they grow up

Exactly right, that is the stuff dreams are made of.

I think its more to do with his personality than anything else. He seems quite introverted and probably keeps a lot of thoughts and emotions to himself, and it all sort of came flooding out after the game IMO.

I remember someone mentioned his upbringing as while back, can't remember what it was exactly but I think he grew up the only son in the family with a few sisters, so he found it harder to connect with boys or something along the lines of that...

LMAO, its Dr Phil...:D:D:D

and you wonder why opposition supporters think ur all nuf nufs :)

His kicking is his asset........ unfortunately he only has the ability to use his asset 1-2 times per match. Can't knock his kick though.

alot of people might not be aware that his father frequents these boards and used to post quite frequently on the collingwood board... seems to have stopped since his son made a name for himself.. so when posting stuff about him have some respect as his father is probably reading.

He's kicked over 70 goals in his first 2 seasons of AFL (there are few better young KPP in the AFL). Unlike Daniel Rich, he doesn't get stage fright in September.

Kicked one of the great goals late in the last quarter of our Elimination Final......... that one erased from your tiny memory already champ?

And set up 2 others.

The fear of a 19 year old boy is palpable.

It was erased as quickly as the game against the WB started where (unlike Sidebottom the night after) he went MIA. He was largely unsighted against Carlton.

Wow, first player player tires in his 24th consecutive senior AFL game.

If that is all you can pin on him, you are battling.

Smell
The
Fear.

Easy for Sidebottom to be fresh when he's not playing every game in his debut season. If Eddie bought you a trophy, your guys would still lose it.

wouldnt this then question your man management? why would you wear a first year player out by playing him in every game if you hope to be playing finals?

Thought the tears were more out of relief than anything. He'd had a stinker of a night and if they'd lost it would likely have weighed fairly heavily on him.

Whilst I wanted nothing more than to see the Pies lose after looking like they'd won it minutes earlier (nothing against the players and officials but bloody oath do the supporters deserve as much), it was nice to see him get a chance to redeem himself. Was moved by his display of emotion, myself.

Number of 2009 finals played well by Daniel Rich: 1
Number of 2009 finals played well by Leon Davis, Alan Didak, Simon Prestigiacomo, Paul Medhurst and Tarkyn Lockyer: 0

Probably crying because 18 months ago he was potentially never going to play again after a serious neck injury, now he has kicked 50 goals in 2009 and the winner at the G in a Semi Final.
100% agreed. Had no doubt he'd kick that goal, just shows the respect the man warrants. If only he could get his hand on the ball more often, could be a champion foward for a decade.
