The clown has had a crack at Ben Cousins for being embarassing in last years GF. Up until now I have never seen any media outlet suggest this to be the case. Sure there was the almighty travisty when a couple of kids were overlooked for a handshake and even though it was more than made up to the kids by the players we should all have a right to still scorn.

I just think it's weak of Andersen to wait until after his side has one their frist flag for 44 years to come out with this rubbish. Cosuins has been the easiest target to pot all year if you were in a bad mood and wanted to take it out on someone. For Andersen to have have a crack (especially today) shows a man of low journalistic integrity who is all to willing to rub others noses in it when he has a win.

It was widely talked about at the time, where have you been?

Caroline Wilson even mentions it in yesterdays age.

Just the fact that carried on like a tool. It was all about Ben.

How did he make it all about him prey tell? All the guy did was swing his arm around because he was excited. The guy was asked to come up there by worsfold and the players held back for a second to give him his moment in the sun given the year he'd been through

Seriously get a clue

The guy had just won a PREMIERSHIP.
It's ridiculous that there are so many people who are criticising him over the way he went about celebrating the win.
GET OVER IT.

No, don't you see, when Cousins or any Eagle celebrates an exhilirating win (be it Grand Final or otherwise) or a fantastic goal they are being arrogant tossers. When Jimmy Hird or G. Ablett celebrate a close win or game saving goal it is passion and pure love for their team.

After all the Eagles aren't a real football club, just a souless corporation. It is sure to be arrogance and is an embarrasment to all those poor journalists who long for the good ol' days of the VFL.

BAH!!

Jon anderson is a footy Journo, he gets paid to have an oppinion and is entitled to have one.
Why can't you eagle supporters go back to bed and sleep it off, your time is over for now, let us do our basking.

Lets face it you blokes weren't good enough to beat the side that got smacked by 119 points,
oh whats' that,, lot's of injuries, yeah yeah........ its called depth.

I think Anderson was just pointing out the way Geelong handled their moment with such class, dignity and respect for the beaten opponents, not even a hint of a Gyrate. Yes I definately saw some "gyrating" from couz last year.

Yep!!!

I thought the way Geelong went up and gave the kids a cap and a genuine handshake was terrific, and couldn't have been in starker contrast to West Coasts performance last year.

No surprise to hear WC supporters back up the behaviour of their stars, hopefully everyone will now pull their heads in given the events of the last couple of days.

We might not have been good enough to beat Port on their home ground, however we took a team (Collingwood) into extra time with a decimated side that pushed the handbaggers to the limits.

I have friends at Geelong and many said they were privately relieved you didnt play the Eagles in the GF.

Regardless however, Geelong was the best team over the season and deserved the Flag.

Class eh, I love Brownless but I remember in 1992 when Billy Boy sunk his knees into McIntosh's head after kicking a goal and other dirty play and oh yes, the head-high elbow on Don Pyke by Ablett in the same game.

Of course Andrew Wills never show boated either in his freak GF goal during the first quarter in 1994...

...and Cam Mooney never hams it up with the crowd in cocky style during a game! hahahahaha

In fact the way that Cam slammed Hunter into the fence and smashed his face last season was TOTAL CLASS.

I think you would react a bit differently after winning by 1 point than you would after winning by 119. Add in the sheer relief after the previous year's effort and you would get an exuberant bunch of players. We came through with a gritty win and all people were wanting to talk about was Cousins arm and the bloody kids.

How much fun is this!!! I'm going trout fishing this weekend if they're on the bite anywhere near as good as this it'll be smoked trout for a week.

Why would you dredge up stuff from 15 years ago that happened on the field, we are talking about showing a bit of humility in victory after the game is won, you blokes fell over the line against the swan's and carried on like a bunch of pork chops. We just beat a team by 119 points, (have I mentioned that yet?) if anyone should have been Gyrating it was us, but no pure class all the way from Tom "Captain Sensible " Harley.

Do West Coast supporters trawl every media outlet in the cosmos looking for a story they can get righteously indignant about? Or are you so utterly bitter about your teams richly-deserved comeuppance that you have to vent somewhere, anywhere?

Huh? must have had bricks in em

i think it was more of an arm twirly twirl than a gyrate, could've been worse he could've done the pasa dobla or the foxtrot. now THAT would've outraged me.

oh and all jounos would love being bagged out on BF. they sell papers by creating discussion and controversy so every time they get mentioned they are doing their job. if you've ever had the misfortune to listen to that clown that gets on KB's show on SEN after 9am would would know what i mean. i say dont mention them at all.
