He is a interesting player.
For WCE we would be interested in him playing backline, but I question his ability to defend.
He has become a lot more outside since he landed at Geelong.
His draft year was pretty good one on one that has fallen away.
Meek at AFL level has actually shown a lot. Wonder if fremantle would be chasing Narkle and Clark as a pairLike Pure_Ownage, Meek and future 2nd would do me. We won't use a third this year IMO.
The third rounder is dead to us this year bc we have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds and limited list spots. Meek and a future 3rd is possible although meek and a future 2nd is what id want and call fair. Its also just possible we keep clark.
Clark for meek and Fr2 ...probably in and about it. It depends on how the club would rate and see Meek. Obviously Darcy would go straight in to best 22..would Meek?..

I love this place. Adam Cerra is only worth a late teens pick, the guy averaging close to 25 possessions (excluding the game where he came off injured after 4 possessions in the first quarter), who finished third in our best and fairest.
But Jordan Clark who can't get a game and has had 2 significant arm and shoulder injuries is worth something involving our first round
The number 1 thing is Clark is contracted...I reckon this here will be done for Meek and a third rounder. Wont like to see Meek go but he is playing very well in seconds and has shown he can play at AFL level. Thoughts Geelong supporters?
Think I'd strongly prefer holding him to his contract and letting him go for nothing the next yearI reckon this here will be done for Meek and a third rounder. Wont like to see Meek go but he is playing very well in seconds and has shown he can play at AFL level. Thoughts Geelong supporters?
All fair points, I would just add that while the cats don't have superstars everywhere we do have Menegola and Smith in his preferred position. Clark is yo-yoing because he isn't a forward, and we are stacked for attacking half back options.Cerra doesn't play for Geelong though. We've been hearing for years from Cats fans how little Jarrod Brander is worth because he can't get a game every week. As a tall. With Kennedy and Darling and now Allen coming on so well.
Lachie Fogarty was pick 22 and played 23 games. He was traded for pick 51 and a pick swap of 38 to 30. Clark was pick 15 and has played 30 games. His value has gone down, slightly. We traded Brad Ebert after 4 years 76 games and got pick 28. Fringe mids/half backs don't tend to go up in value. He's played 9 games this year and 3 of those were as the medical sub, and two of those he didn't actually play. For some reason he's gone from playing 18 games in his first year to 3 in his second and now 6 real games so far in his third. I watched him in one of those Thursday night VFL games on Fox and he was a cut above, so I'm not sure why he keeps yo-yoing in and out of the AFL side. Geelong have a good team but it isn't superstars in every position. He is under contract so they don't have to trade him, but that leverage isn't going to flush out some massive offer.
I made the mistake of starting him in my fantasy team and watched him closely for a few weeks. He is not a natural footballer.
From what I've seen. He is a great runner. He is an adequate kick. He is weak in a contest and one on one.
Thinking of comparisons, Branden Ellis would be about his ceiling. I don't get why a team would give up much at all for him.

Looks like a really good comparison IMOJack Higgins was traded for a first round pick last year despite not being in Richmond's best 26 (wasn't named as an emergency in their GF side).
Both Higgins and Clark are the same age (should Clark request a trade this year) couldn't break into strong midfields (Geelong bats much deeper IMO) and both were former first round picks (although Clark was more highly rated IMO) and both were/could be traded under the same circumstances (club wants to keep player).
Higgins was traded for pick 20 (I know there was more to the trade but the rest of the trade adds no value either way IMO). I can't see how Jordan Clark has less value than Jack Higgins. Not saying he's worth a top ten pick, however a pick that ultimately ends up in the 18-23 range should be his minimum value. Geelong getting their first round pick back (assuming they finish top 3) would be a fair trade IMO.
By the end of the year Clark will have played more full games than Higgins did in his last at Richmond, only has 3 more to close that gap. The MC is also going out of their way to get him in the side playing him as a forward recently. I can't see him being more "out-of-favour" than Higgins was.Looks like a really good comparison IMO
Looked that trade up, small pick upgrade end of first (4 spots) and a future second (future 4th from Richmond in the deal would literally be worth less than a packet of chips). I think it’s a bit different to just getting pick 20 or your first back
I’d be comfortable with something in that range IF he plays the rest of the year now Duncan is out otherwise he seems more out of favour than Higgins was
Higgins exposed AFL form was better than Clark's I'd argue, but the rest I have to agree with.Jack Higgins was traded for a first round pick last year despite not being in Richmond's best 26 (wasn't named as an emergency in their GF side).

Maybe all he needs is a hype man and a similar post on Thursday will get a similar result.
Higgins came into 2020 season off the back of brain surgery which he had late 2019 and was not expected to even be back running for 6 months if everBy the end of the year Clark will have played more full games than Higgins did in his last at Richmond, only has 3 more to close that gap. But still, if he asks for a trade he asks for a trade.
Love your name, but I find that an odd comparison. Saad is possibly the best small one-on-one defender in the competition. Clark is barely competitive.Adam Saad is what I see him like.

I'm not trying to denigrate Jack Higgins. I realise that he's had some serious challenges along the way that you noted. Ive drawn on the comparison as both were drafted as midfielders who could play another position Higgins FWD, Clark BACK, both were in teams with a lot of depth in those positions making it difficult for both to cement a best 22 spot. Higgins IMO was behind a few others for a forward role due to his lack of defensive pressure, Clark struggled to defend 1 on 1. Neither had the tank to push others out of a midfield spot (not Higgins fault, he's highly professional but couldn't force out a Lambert or Prestia). Clark had to contend with Menegola, Blicavs and Tuohy for that wing spot last year and now we've added Isaac Smith. We've tried to turn him into a half forward for a regular game but that's not his go.Higgins came into 2020 season off the back of brain surgery which he had late 2019 and was not expected to even be back running for 6 months if ever
he had no pre season as you would expect and was extremely behind the 8 ball.
Made his way back and into the team and played 10 games until he was injured during the early finals games i believe and didnt get back in for the GF due to an established team setup. Dont think the games comparison is a very good one.
pick #25 - #30 looking like the range
I wasn't aware that that was a controversial statement. Saad is outstanding one-on-one.Er what?
