Salmon , Leon Milde , Paul Marret , John Spry was adequate for a few years , Robert Dolan rucked in a premiership year Chris Natt , David Hynes who was more of a second ruck but Johnston was the real deal

Named as ruckman in the team of the century and extremely well deserved. Think he was underrated I watched him beat Carey and Redden in a lot of big games. Tremendous captain.

Yes he was. Johnno's new team mate David Granger had been suspended for 3 matches for striking him in 1979.

There was a reason for our long premiership drought in the 60s/70s. A different one for our almost twice as long current drought, of course.

Yep it pi&$ed down, was just about all over at Qtr time as I think we kicked with the wind in the first Qtr.

I would prefer Sweet over Lycett every day, ever since we drafted Lycett i wasnt a fan he always allowed opposition midfielders to walk out the middle without any pressure. Jordan Sweet has played in 11 matches and the dogs have won 9/11 matches.
