Coach Josh Carr - Midfield Coach

Carr has been around Hinkley too long imo. Need fresh blood with a fresh voice.

Absolutely should be someone new and fresh, same with list management, assistants, conditioning etc, but it won't be. Not as long as Koch is there anyway.

Koch is all about a type of small family business mentality. Promote from within, jobs for life without any need for accountability because at the end of the day he know he has 60k+ people willing to give up cash towards his vision.

It's a totally fraudulent setup and has been for some time now, run by a monstrosity of an individual being David Koch.

We won't even get the 'new coach sugar hit'. We got that last year with the 13 in a row.

We have been led down the path of having the identity of PAFC destroyed under Ken Hinkley may as well continue with it, but start a new with the right people. Get rid of all the useless ex-players in the coaching panel including Carr, get rid of Koch and Davies and rebuild PAFC 2.0.

Our midfield is very underwhelming for the talent it has.

At least under Voss, we got to the prelims with a retirement age Boak and got the best out of Wines.

Cancel the succession plan.

If calling for Hinkley's sacking has not worked for over a decade then I'm going to call out this shit succession plan.

Footy's a game of momentum. It's impossible to judge the midfield objectively when our forward line (can we even call it one, really?) keeps breaking their hearts time after time.

he's been Hinkley'd he can only do so much when Ken is calling stupid shots during the game

Noone has any real idea of who is calling the shots here, except it looks like Hinkley is just an overpaid cheerleader.

If the gameday moves we're seeing are Josh's then we're in trouble, but he's never going to succeed on his own.
He needs some strong support, but that won't happen while Mr financial guru is paying peanuts for monkeys in order to work off our debt.

I doubt they are his moves, I think they are Hinkley's, all we can hope for is ken gets a dose of covid for a couple of weeks and Josh has to take over, then we might see what is really going on.

Where is the evidence that this guy is any good?

He won one flag with North from 5th, with an extra player on the ground in a prelim. His other years in the SANFL weren’t great. In fact some were poor.

Our midfield still only plays well if individuals play well. It does not play above the sum of its parts. It cannot reverse momentum. When it gets beaten in the contest, it looks defensively insipid, like in the last quarter last night, like in multiple consecutive showdowns, like in games against Collingwood and in two finals last year.

Carr cannot take credit for Butters and JHF without taking ownership of Wines’ downfall. Wines was monstered like his colleagues in the last quarter last night. This happens too often under Carr.

And then if you want to speculate more broadly about what he’s doing in the box upstairs, last I checked we were the still the same unreliable team getting the same types of results as we have for the past 11 years.

If Carr replaces Hinkley this year or next, the pain will turn to more agony.
