Might not play a game, that’s the fact of the matter. If he does he’s likely to be more Steve Kenna than Dylan Shiel.

I never said he could play as well as Shiel I said he moved a bit like him, big difference.

I see Gibbons as a next year player with a Russell preseason under him . Doing ok but better to come.

People are underestimating what Gibbons can become, he improves almost every week and works harder than almost anyone.

hope he does well. every player/person is different and matures at different stages so perhaps he just wasn't ready his first stint in the AFL which is more than understandable. looking forward to see what he can do.

He's 100% an inside mid at Subiaco. Won't surprise me to see him alternate as a half forward.
Has a hammy tweak so won't play 2wks.
Is flying out of Perth tomorrow so should be around the club in the next day or 2.
Embrace him Blues fans, he'll be a great clubman and will find the footy..
Stats are his recent 10 games in the WAFL. 29 possession game was the 2018 GF.

Racks up between 25-30 disposals a game. Averages 5 marks and 6 tackles. Good solid numbers.

Don't reckon we'll see him for a little while. They'll want to integrate him to the group and train with the guys for a while before throwing him in. But once he's in I don't think he'll leave and will probably play the last 8 games or so.

Will be interesting to see how his stats/game translate to AFL footy. I'm not overly excited, usually with VFL players you can take off 50-25% of what they do at that level and that is what you get at AFL level which would put him in the same bracket as most of our midfielders which would mean he doesn't have an impact.

I guess though if he does perform to the level of SPS or Dow but brings physicality then he will have an impact which will be good. This is where our expectations should be with Deluca.

If he can transition into a forward role and really take to that then long term he probably has a place. He's a small player with pace and he seems to kick the odd goal, he might just have a role to play in our forward line at some stage too.

I think this is just about giving a good candidate a go and getting someone in who can make an immediate impact and potentially a long term impact, even if that impact won't be huge it will still be something.
