TBH I think our window is shut if he goes.

I disagree in theory, easier to replace a mid and get a good one than a key tall. We just have to maximise the return.

That’s a bit of a myth. Has mainly been playing midfield the last 2 seasons.

id be happy to trade Pick 4 + 22 and then get Dunkley + 11 back.

If Port are offering 650K and Essendon are offering 750K and he is happy to go to a coachless rabble club like Essendon for the extra money, then of course he’ll seek a trade to Essendon because a trade will get done no matter how long negotiations take. He’s out of contract so there is no contract for Bulldogs to hold him to. You think he’ll be like “yeah I’ll give up 100K extra a year to go to Port because I can’t wait a couple of weeks dealing with Essendon?” You have a valid point if he was contracted. But he’s not so how quick it takes to get a deal done is irrelevant because Bulldogs are not sending him to the PSD.

It’s not Essendon’s offer to Bulldogs that’ll stop him from coming to Essendon. It’s the fact that we’re a complete rabble on and off the field.
