How about we wait longer than 3 seconds before talking him up champs
Sure, we could wait for him to be ranked #1 in clearances in the AFL over an entire season? Whoops, he did that last year.

Never get this "lets see how he goes when he's tagged". Kennedy has been a top line inside mid for over 12 months now, it's his outside game that has exploded this season. I have no idea who were on any of the Swans mids in the 2nd half but Kennedy destroyed whoever it was. Not his fault, and not a reason to mark him down.

Same stupid reason some try to talk down Dane Swan.

Watched the game. Tag wasn't very close. Was allowed a paddock in the 2nd half.

He has been dealing with tags since last year. He had a paddock today because he was gut running. It was a perfect illustration of how his game has developed, and why he's had at least 3, possibly 4 BOGs in 5 rounds; he's added an outside component to his game that has allowed him to get on top of taggers, rack up big numbers and hurt all over the ground (rather than relying almost purely on contested ball like last year).

Will be interesting to see how he goes now that he's had a few good games, reckon other teams will put a hard tag on him now.

How good is his contested marking now? 5 games in and he's already taken key contested marks both forward and back. Improved a fair bit on last year.

Players that can play five very high quality games on end aren't your average run of the mill player.
Deserves to be talked up for what he is.

He was pretty damn good last season as well. Scoring him, mcglynn and mumford in the last 3 years has been amazing. We've got an equally good, or even better ruck & midfield setup than our grand final years. exciting times.

He's been our best midfielder for the past 30 games. I'm pretty sure opposition teams are already paying some attention to him.

Anyone got the most recent odds for him on the Brownlow?

Would have at minimum 10votes by now

He could conceivably have picked up 3 votes in all 5 rounds. Almost certainly in rounds 1, 2 and 5, very likely in round 3, and a small chance for round 4 (wasn't BOG in most peoples' eyes, but he was still extremely good, and his overall good form and expanding hype might have attracted the attention of the umpires).

Being in an as yet undefeated side helps immensely, of course.

No doubt, he is certainly somewhere around 10-14 votes so far. Has a game that is generally very attractive for votes as well

Are these tag talks for real. He was hard tagged last week by Ziebell and smashed it to bits.

Kennedy is an inside mid who bounces through his opponents and gets the ball through traffic. He's been tagged before and handled it fine.

And well even if he doesn't enter Kieran Jack, Craig Bird and Daniel Hannebery. These inside mid ball winners aint going away.

It's like the Russian army (The Red army in fact), knock one over they keep on coming.
