Josh Rachele - "The Victorian"

Alex Neal-Bullen wants to go back to SA, so a straight swap for Rackele makes a lot of sense for both teams.

ANB would be a great addition to the Crows, hard worker, tough, one of the best endurance runners and tacklers in the league, leads by example, 27 years old, and should have 4-5 good years left.

The biggest issue would be Melbourne's culture - If Rachele has already got a bit of a discipline problem, imagine what he would be like spending after spending his preseason on a bender with Simon Goodwin!

I wouldn't want ANB if he was free.

It makes zero sense.

Rachele is a future AA forward, with potential to be a decent midfield option, 21 and contracted for five years.

ANB is a very good role player, but that’s it, and is 28.

Can you imagine this sort of thing happening with a 21-yo at Geelong or Sydney?
Completely hanging out to dry a young player in need of support and direction. Who’d would want to come and play for this team?!
If he walks, i’d be so disappointed, but i’d not begrudge him for a moment.

Probably the worst decision of the year I reckon.

discussions should have been had behind closed doors. They’ve aired their dirty laundry out in public.

Blokes like Lachie Murphy don’t do enough, and barely engages with the media, but is in the leadership group. Rory Laird happy to go out and get 30 but doesn’t matter what happens with them.

Sure Rachele has been half hearted at contests at times this year - but they backed him in at the time. But now all of a sudden that contest v Port is “the” contest that matters. Geez I wonder what the real reason for dropping him is…

Not sure where the future AA calls are coming from on Rachelle. He has been OK without doing anything spectacular.

But, he's a first round pick, you'd expect him to be decent.

Send him over to us crows, on the cheap. The last 'troubled' small forward we picked up for a bag of chips is working out fairly well so far.

Straight swap for Alexander Neal-Bullen.

ANB is the ultimate professional who gets the best out of himself, a huge part of our premiership-winning culture.
The Victorian is Victorian and would be a great cultural fit, he can smash windscreens with AFLCA winner, Best & Fairest, and fellow premiership star/ Shepperton boy Clayton Oliver.

Perfect!!!

LOL. The most prolific goal kicker in the AFL 22 years old and under in 2024 (30 goals this year) is a straight swap for a role playing 29 year old (in 2025). Fair swap?! 😂 OK then. Thanks for the laughs!
