**** it.

Thats terrible terrible sad news.

Far too young. He could always get smile with his sense of humour and GIF work.

Will be missed.

Genuinely sorry to hear this.

Jub is a veteran of the boards and while he could certainly stir on occasion, he always struck me as having a good sense of humour and I certainly had a few laughs with him on various boards around the site, over many years. He loves his Cats too.

Condolences to all of his family and friends, and especially anyone here who knew him. 44 is far too young.

Thinking on this a bit more and you realise just how much impact Jubby had around the place with his well placed gifs and all round good humour and it made me think, perhaps we could have some sort of Geelong Board award named after JUB?
Obviously something based on the light side of discussion, humour and likely gifs.
Food for thought atleast.

Excellent idea.

When Dangerfield scored 35 Brownlow votes it was a notable connection with his number. Corey Enright, our games record holder, was 44 and that's Jub's age. Another notable connection.

One of the new awards we're looking to introduce would be perfect for this I think. Maybe the mod-voted one.

Also looking at getting a RIP JUBJUB badge done for those that want to. Much like the Casey badge.

Still working out the details so will keep you posted. :(

damn that is terrible news

he used to call me a DQ, i would respond by suggesting after a loss that the DQ's are right and make some stupid reference to jubjub calling me a DQ, that was the thing we had, all light hearted banter from both

i will miss his posts and gif's

perhaps those who havent signed "the pledge" do so, as at the end of the day we are all human's, we all follow geelong and we all have various physical and mental battles that we need to overcome that people sitting behind a keyboard in a different town/city dont know about, so lets love one another just a little bit more

Really sad news. Jub was a stalwart of BF, and it's not unusual to find posts from him strewn throughout threads from the early years of the website, long before many of us had begun posting here. 44 years is way too young, and it's an abrupt reminder to cherish your fleeting moments here.

Condolences to his family.

Yeah that's something I've noticed as well. Quite often I will see a thread bumped from the very early 2000s, perhaps earlier, and find a JUBJUB post (generally one of his famous wise cracks) among a sea of posters I've never heard of - the majority of which I assume are no longer on BigFooty. He's been a big part of this site from the very beginning.
