I think the charade of the interview process and bare faced lies are what people are having a go at.

Blind Freddy could see it was Pratt and his money that convinced Judd to walk away from the Eagles.

Would have been interesting if Carlton had pick #1 in the PSD as they planned. West Coast would probably have been lucky to get Lance Whitnall in a trade.

Yes cause he was so hard up for money in the West. I am sure Collingwood and Eddie could have put together as just as an attractive package. Next crap theory please.

What about the cap? Besides why do you think he went to Carlton? Because he thinks it's a great club? :p I know the majority of Carlton fans aren't that bright but to think he went to Carlton for anything else but the money is downright dumb.

Anything is possible I guess. For some reason I am thinking this is a bit of a smoke screen and Judd will be right to go.

exactly what I was thinking as well ODN

Judd knows exactly where he is at..... the club knows exactly where he is at....

why does every other person HAVE to know where he is at??

Keep them guessing I say Juddy.... ;):D:):thumbsu:

It will be interesting to see which way this pans out.

As West Coast supporters well know - these "bullshit rumours" have a way of becoming solid facts. Hopefully not - the man has years of highlights to deliver yet.

Yeah..he and Carltank are fooling us all.......Right....
Do you think you might try and converse normally until the thread is moved to Bay 13?

I know I was in China at the time, but I though Judd had the surgery weeks before he decided the club he wanted to play for, and weeks before trade period.... thus why would Carlton invest all this time in finding a surgeon for a player they potentially would not have had.

You're forgetting the fact that Judd told Carlton earlier on in the year that he wanted to go to them, before he told WCE...

Good. He deserves it.

He's carried himself with nothing but arrogance ever since he decided to bail on his team.

And you have covered yourself in glory with that prize winning piece of literature.

I am sure you were hoping that he didnt come to Collingwood when he was making his decision.

Re Judd, if he isnt right for round 1, who cares? I am more interested in him getting right for when we are ready to have a serious shot ot a flag that in beating Richmond in round 1 2008.

Having sald all of that, all of these sooks that would be happy to see a player of Chris Judd's ilk retire at such a young age, get a life. Many of us have enjoyed the first 6 years of his career, whether he played for our club or not. Those of you who want to see him gone are just sahowing their total lack of class and maturity by stating such things!

add Carlton to that for the majority.
But anyone who wants to see any player injured is not a true sports fan not to mention a nasty piece of work.

**** him he`s a mercenary, Karma will always come up trumps, but in saying that i would have loved him at Pieland, but not at that price where we lose a Pendlebury or Thomas.
The Cartel Football Club will look after him in his early retirement.

There were two problems with the Collingwood option.

1. as Fireman pointed out, the cap.

2. who on earth would Collingwood have come up with a trade that suited WC?

I'd have thought Nick Stevens would have taught you (& Judd) a lesson. Unless your club of choice is one of the bottom clubs or one with cap concessions, you rarely get where you want to go.

Exactly my point, not worth getting a broken down mercenary in exchange for any one of our young guns like Cloke, Pendlebury, Thomas, O`brien etc.....

The injury news is legit, however no-one can for certain determine how quickly he will recover, and to what extent he will recover. One of the orthopaedic surgeons in this particular hospital in Perth is mates with the surgeon who Judd had scans with in Melbourne. The Melbourne doc told the Perth doc that Judd should have major surgery, which consequently would have a longer rehabilitation period that would see Judd get back to match fitness several rounds into the season. Given the news, Carlton looked elsewhere, found an alternative surgery option, and rolled the dice hoping Judd doesnt break down again. People, making "matter of fact" statements is pointless. Judd might struggle and break down again in '08 or he might play all 22 games this season without any trouble. However, the major surgery was in his best long term interests, and would have given him the best possible chance of making a complete recovery.

Ahhh the shortcut Blues, now they've found a way to cheat themselves

Oh absolutely, the kids are untouchable, and the only lesson to be learnt from Stevens is don't go giving up a Didak for an injury prone plodder

Any player in a one for one swap for Judd would make sense. Even young guns.

But WC were never going to accept that so for Collingwood it would have meant possibly 2 or 3 players they've already staked the future on. It would have been a disaster.

The only reason IMO that Collingwood were thrown into the mix was to give the 'process' some credibility.

As for Judd's rehab, I'm sure Carlton aren't in any hurry to get him on the park if it risks longer term damage.

Though I would ease some minds in relation to that article stating that Judd is only doing Rehab Training & is training by himself etc.....

here are some pics taken from our camera at training on 19/01/2008.

clearly showing Judd training with the main group & Kicking etc.....

Geez, looks like that kick went a good 15 meters! Must be OK then.:thumbsu:

No i,m sure their not, every game the mercenary doesn,t play is 120 thousand dollars for jam. hahahahah

Dah, whens the real story going to break about what this surgery does to endurance runners LOL. Its no surprise only 1 team was left in the race after Judd was looked at by the surgeons.

You moron, Judd organised and had the operation well before joinig us,exactly how did we take a shortcut? Don't let the facts get in the way of a good bit of Carlton bashing.

Shortcuts! your whole history as an organisation is based on shortcuts.
Elliott, whatever happened to him after he was imprisoned for being a fraud, right thru to your current president the RAT or is that Pratt who was fined 37 million dollars last year for robbing the Australian people for fixing the price of cardboard boxes.
Your whole existence as an organisation is based on FRAUDULENT dealings.
