Why did North ever get rid of their full blue (with white stripes) clash? That thing was fantastic!
What about the rest of the year?
It was brilliant, and unlike their current away/clash jumper, it actually served a purpose. Why did North ever get rid of their full blue (with white stripes) clash? That thing was fantastic!
The rest of the year, we played against sides our home strip doesn't clash with. What about the rest of the year?
Yeah, exactly.
Basically as long as it existed the AFL were making us wear it instead of our preferred home strip. I would much rather have the traditional kit we have now and a few different clash options, rather than never getting to see the home + blue shorts that we have now. I think most North supporters agree. Why did North ever get rid of their full blue (with white stripes) clash? That thing was fantastic!
Prefer Geelong in white shorts. Always believed shorts colour should match the main colour of the topView attachment 2112562
Afl insta today.
On a personal preference level I agree (same goes with pies in the white back and north in the white back) but I also understand supporters and clubs preference for the colored shirts with those kits and support the club getting its preference for a home kit.Prefer Geelong in white shorts. 2nd worst clash I've seen at AFLw level.
Adelaide vs St Kilda a few years back was worse

The same reason why no one (except Gold Coast) wears white shorts against Sydney.Another question?
Why do away teams were home shorts against Gold Coast and GC never wear white shorts in away games unless they're wearing their clash jumper?
I honestly can't see a clash if say Collingwood wore their white shorts against GC up at Carrarra.
Except your unnecessarily forcing those teams into white shorts when it's not needed. The rest of the year, we played against sides our home strip doesn't clash with.
If I recall correctly, you guys chose to wear it (according to Heath on twitter) because you had a dummy spit about being asked to wear white shorts, and then released a statement saying your supporters weren't smart enough to know who was the home side and who was awayBasically as long as it existed the AFL were making us wear it instead of our preferred home strip. We did that did we? Didn't know North were in charge of the AFL's uniform policyExcept your unnecessarily forcing those teams into white shorts when it's not needed.
It's a "dummy spit" to respond to being given an ultimatum about your home kit and picking one thing over another? ok man. And yeah, an official club spokesperson would say it was our choice, do you think we'd put out a statement saying the tyrannical AFL have imposed their fascist uniform policy on us?If I recall correctly, you guys chose to wear it (according to Heath on twitter) because you had a dummy spit about being asked to wear white shorts, and then released a statement saying your supporters weren't smart enough to know who was the home side and who was away
And what is that reason? The same reason why no one (except Gold Coast) wears white shorts against Sydney.
You’re making statements about design here which are entirely subjective.
Because for whatever reason, red is deemed a non clash colour. And what is that reason?
AND BTW North wore their white shorts against Sydney at the SCG in about round 18ish, and it looked perfectly fine.
Mate, have you seen some of the soccer jerseys and kits?I disagree. We're talking about sporting guernseys which are used to serve a practical function, not endevours which should have unlimited scope for artistic creativity. Make them too artsy, busy, multi coloured or inconsistant and their functionality is lost. Jumpers like that of Carl, Rich & Ess are simple & consistant. They just dont change when they play each other, barring Rich/Ess. I highly doubt GWS's jumper would be allowed in the EPL, NFL, NBA etc. But their alternates certainly would.
You've clearly had something to say about it, otherwise Geelong would be wearing navy shorts more often. We did that did we? Didn't know North were in charge of the AFL's uniform policy
I don’t agree with you at all but in any event you’re talking about complete policy change. The AFL has approved their home jumper, that same body isn’t going to come out now and enforce a home team wearing a different kit.I disagree. Anyways, the you obviously have notifications turned on for me, so you're on ignore so I don't see your incoherent ramblings.I need a wahmbulance

GWS's home kit would be 100% allowed, and guess what? The away team would be forced to work around that via an away or third kit. EFL / EPL rules dictate that one of those kits (I think the away) must be completely different to the home kit
