It'll look correct without them. Either that, or add them to the front too. Imagine looking at your jumper from the side; you'll see an arching orange line and big, white G cut off by a grey vertical stripe. It'll be a mess.

View attachment 133508 What do you prefer?? TO be honest, i think that the current Bulldogs jumper is to blue and they should introduce the coloured collar and cuffs.

They should go red collar with a white bib (assuming they stay with BLK) as a tribute to their old collars but have blue cuffs. Not overpowering but it would just make it look a bit more interesting. They also need to make the hoops a bit thicker.

I've always thought that the back of the Canberra jumper sohuld have "GWS" above hte numbers, or nothing. Having "Canberra" written on a Canberra jumper seems redundant.

And Carlton sohuld get rid of the logo on the back of their jumper too. It made sense for the 150 year celebration, but adds nothing now.

The only teams that need it are WB, Sydney and Brisbane. It's good that Melb got rid of theirs, hopefully other clubs will follow and simplify/clean up their jumpers.

Now as for Port's logo on the front.....

I think the Bulldogs are perfect the way they are. They've got a perfect balance between history and a modern classic.

Adding different coloured cuffs or collars wouldn't fix that. It would end up looking like Port's showdown guernsey with the number panel that looks a bit forced

Actually, if you'd described that to me I would have said no, but I don't really like the solid red of the doggies red guernsey, and I think the watermarked dog breaking it up might actually improve it.

I can understand why they changed it, because the original was very anti-eastern states, and in today's league you need to expand beyond your own state to attract members. But its still loads better than "we're flying high" sung ad nauseum. Even if they just cut and shuffled this song, it'd be an improvement.

Since Hawthorn has started using a metalic gold in their clash guernsey, I'm interested to see how a home guernsey in metalic gold would look. Is there anyone out there who could do one up? I tried last night using gimp but just could not get the right shade of gold or a half decent shine on it. Don't know if I would be keen to see it full time yet but it might look alright as a pre-season guernsey for the short term future. It might not be an immediate hit with the public but now the ptinting technology is here, they realy should give it a go.
