so there is a going to be a Pride Round in 2018. the AFL would have that but no Heritage Round (not that i am against a Pride Round).

I think it's a clever idea but part of me sees the rainbow hidden behind the Opera House, as though it's the gay part hiding. Odd thought, I know, but it's there. I reckon the rainbow could be stretched further up, perhaps to where the yoke meets the sleeve.

Long sleeve training guernseys? What an oddly random item.
I would be all over that shit if I were a Giants fan.

Take note, Nike. Blades are doing long sleeve training guernseys and we're stuck with.. sleeveless home guernseys
*shudders*

Not sure where to put this:

Surely this will be rolled out as an away jumper?

Probably just as bad in terms of unevenness, but this with orange shorts and white and orange and grey hooped socks would be a seriously cool strip.

As are we, yet every time Wingard trots out in one it's always huge news on Port's website.

Heritage Round worked very well, but fell apart after a while. Clubs wouldn't or couldn't participate, and when it went to gimmicks like "80's Round", it was over.

If they could do it properly again, I'd love it back.

What's up with all these promotional jumpers being so lacklustre examples being the jumpers Essendon and St Kilda wore last night. They should either include the promotional organisation/event into the teams jumper design rather than make tiny little changes (like the yellow right cuff on Essendon and the rainbow coloured numbers for St Kilda). Basically what I am getting at is go all out on the promotional jumper or don't do it at all because it's a waste of money for the clubs making it and it's a waste of money for the poor suckers who have 'Compulsive Jersey Collection Syndrome' (thankfully I do not suffer this disease).
I understand we were not allowed to do anything different for Pride Round, the AFL has rules about the number of kits used in a year and all that, plus it was an away game.

We will next year for our home game, for sure.

Red old school collar please!
From memory we had the sash on the back with black numbers last time but this looks good. I would probably prefer to have an all white collar with the current ISC template.

There was a change in the jumper design between 1909 and 1918. The sash was only over the front by then.

Although it is a celebration of the South Melbourne 1918 premiership, the club is still the Sydney Swans so this should also be represented on the jumper. Converting the V Swan logo into a sash allows it to be shown as part of the sash on the jumper.

Just replace the "SMFC" on the back with the Swans logo. Saves defacing the main element of the design and also the "SMFC" is kinda redundant when the jumper is a South Melbourne design anyway.

Side-note: According to Mero's site they wore with navy shorts - I wonder if they'd be allowed to do that!

I'd rather they'd just keep it simple. I've always thought chucking needless logos on jumpers looks tacky. The Richmond centenary jumper is a good example of this.

why black? Charcoal is their colour
I'll answer that for you. That was one of my original ideas and I based it off the Juve keeper kits as I thought it looked good for a newer team and colours fitted well.
GWS
GWS's uniforms honestly need a new makeover after what they've shown us these past few years. The third kit is based on an soccer third kit style design. Made the black darker to show a more fierce approach.
