Is there a reason Melbourne have never gone for a straight inverse of their home kit? It seems like a pretty easy solution to me.

As much as I do love the 2000s red kits, I'd rather our current set over an inverse of the home jumper. An inverse just doesn't look good to me.

That’s nice and all but the Dees need a red or white jumper, the royal blue doesn’t work as a clash jumper.

Don’t have the photoshop skills but here’s some thoughts

Essendon Away/clash jumper
1. Red with black sash
2. White with a red and black sash (one of the junior teams wears this and looks good)

3. Cropduster - country round gurnsey
Inspired by the old school origional Blue jumpers it’s a sky blue jumper with a Red Sash and a Black plane logo on the upper shoulder so the sash looks like the plane is skywriting

We've used our red back clash guernsey once since 2019. Need is a huge stretch.

Change the red between feathers and tail to yellow.
Get rid of the blue side panels.
Get rid of the red shoulders.
Get rid of the yellow highlight between red and blue hoop (make blue I think).
Make Hungry Jack's yellow
Get rid of white highlights around numbers
Navy blue Toyota logo

Logos-wise, Hungry Jacks won't allow theirs in yellow so The Victorian is accurate there. And the Toyota logo is fine in either red or navy as per previous Crows jumpers.

I think the blue sidepanels works quite well for the design to break it up a bit. Though, I feel like that random highlight of yellow was an error though haha

Came close with the 2022 Indigenous round jumper. Swans did something similiar with this year's indigenous jumper - sort of teased what a red and white swapped jumper would look like.

Arguably should have used it more, dees wore the royal blue against Freo a number of times in previous seasons but this year they wore the red back.
If they wore the red back once then there’s a need for a red jumper.

The execution is awful, I completely get that, but something like this as a Demons clash is how I'd approach it. Definitely not traditional but keeps the traditional red yoke on navy, as well as a modern design (inspired by Melbourne Storm jerseys) that acts to "redden" the front. Probably sells well with the kids and, in motion, should still resemble the Dees.

i perfer the flamming m since clubs are bringing back retro kits and personally looks better than our monogram slapped on a red kit, i really want to see a blue flamming m kit and yes i know about the preseason/training kit unfortalty a PI only but hopefully the club makes it for the public or has plans to use it for gr or as a one off this season but makes it so we can buy it but not just from an auction

ive heard that before and agree, i think it needs a monogram or something that adds to the kit than it being an inverse (forgot our kits have the small monograms on them now)
