I reckon it might br nrxt wed nigthas tonight SEN is broadcasting State of Origin 2 in Rugby League

Paul

who the hell gives a ********e about rugby down here???? Also people down Albury way are ********ed off they have to watch it live on TV instead of the Legends game.... Albury is AFL territory not Rugby.. get it right Channel 9 (Win) you dweebs..

are you kidding?? Surely a Rugby League State of Origin game is more important then a crappy legends game. I am constantly amazed it isn't broadcast live into Melbourne, a disgrace!!.

By the way I just watched the Origin from my desk in London and it was fantastic!!!

I heard the last show and, at the end of it, they were saying "we'll be back of course in THREE weeks". That had me a bit befuddled, and I thought it was their new cheaper approach from the new station owners but, I hadn't taken the Origin coverage into account. The new owners have alot more cross coverage from live events interstate...ie. Rugby League live from Sydney on some Sundays, where they just tap into other stations' live coverage. SEN are part owned by the Southern Cross Network so they particularly tap into 2UE, 4BC etc.

Hence..........it'll be on next Wednesday night at 9pm, 22nd June.

Cheers

Couldn't agree more Wakeboard, had to tape the legends, just because we're on the other side of the river, we had to watch that other crap.

And if any of the membership dudes are reading, try pushing the Albury area a bit harder for memberships, there's plenty of us around, after all we were the North Melbourne country recruiting zone for many years, and as a result have many Kanga followers.

Interesting Falkroo. I was chatting to hopper in Canberra earlier in the year (Swans game) and he was saying the same about the Wagga region.......plenty of un-signed up Roos supporters.

Thanks I was wondering what the connection was.

It constantly amazes me how little coverage you get in Sydney. Over the long-weekend we saw the Lions game played three times and the Colliwobbles twice.. I have no doubts we would get more supporters in this area if anyone here had a chance to actually see a game.

Do North run any type of television campaign in Melbourne, I'm curious, because early the season, up here at Albury on regional stations, we quite often get membership campaigns from other clubs like geelong and essendon, etc.

That is a good idea... I'm originally from Wangaratta and there was never any North Ad's on TV..

Maybe something I should email the membership department as a suggestion. A group of us used to drive up for every match and there was certainly lots of supporters down there.

Massive following of footy down it that area.. Just look at the Ovens & Murray.. Probably the strongest country league in the country. Players often get drafted from it.

Hey Wakeboard, if you're a Wang boy, you must be stoked with the way the Magpies are travelling at the minute, top of the ladder, doing it nicely, it's been a long time between drinks though!!!!!!!!
