Interesting that he's been charged for supplying cocaine - is that different from just cocaine possession?

Seeing as all 3 of the others charged are from the same place, it sounds as if someone asked K to get them some coke and he used his contacts to get some for them. Although, the four charges relate to a period of 6 months so it obviously happened a few times.

Dark times ahead for 'special' K.

Very different. Supplying/dealing/selling carries with it far harsher penalties (AFAIK) than just possession. If he's convicted, it's career over.

It's just so eye opening. To me, K was just the ultimate professional. Now we know he was supplying coke. These athletes with so much money just get involved in this stuff. No-one is safe. No-one is immune, no matter how innocent they look.

That said, if Harbrow is also linked with this, I'll eat my hat.

has harbrows name been bought up or just a guess? wouldn't surprise if one or two players are or have been involved
I more meant that Harbrow, like K, is the last person you'd expect to be embroiled in this sorta stuff. He's not. Just me using an example.

I read on FB (super reliable, I know) that he was basically just getting it for some friends, but the amount he 'supplied' during each encounter was minimal. Drugs are drugs (and drugs are bad, mmmkay), but the media are jumping to conclusions. I even saw a reporter call him a drug smuggler LOL

Hang on, if he's been charged but not held, what does that mean? He's just been told to be at the courts at a later date, but is 'free' until then. Does this mean that the CCC sting didn't actually catch him in possession of it, but know it was definitely cocaine? I don't understand how someone could be 'caught' but not held until the court date if it's such a significant crime.

Why were the CCC investigating and not the police? Someone tipped them off? He obviously wasn't using it himself, because he gets drug tests so often. SO MANY QUESTIONS!

I don't care how much it was. My whole image of him is shattered. What must his wife think?

Innocent til proven guilty. I have lofty expectations :(

The difference between being charged with drug possession and intent to supply can be based just on how much drugs the person has on them, which is kinda ridiculous to begin with. Buy bulk just for yourself and you can be charged with intent to supply. Once the lawyers get involved it's pretty easy to get an intent to supply downgraded to just possession.

Do we think this has anything to do with the fact he couldn't get a game in the last half of the season despite the Club saying they knew nothing?
I was thinking the exact same thing. Even if the club hadn't clued onto his private life, perhaps it had an impact on his ability to find form.

"The CCC will allege that during an investigation focused on a cocaine trafficking syndicate operating in South East Queensland, these four individuals were identified contacting the syndicate and arranging for the supply of cocaine," the statement said.

Looks like he just happened to get involved in an ongoing investigation - by chance. Bad luck.
