Will come up with something original. Already planning my media campaign for the 2017 footy sponsorship
The year of Kayle Kirby

Year of KK

Y2K

#Y2K2017

Almost as good as #Aishtag imo :D

Jmac is spot on TT's are overrated. Point me in the direction of anyone that's ever run 2km non-stop at the same pace in a footy match and I'll point out a liar.

If you want to test where a players at use funcionality training, like fartlek, and give players the option to drop out or pull them out once they get too far behind. It tests where they're at fitness wise and is relevant!

I think he ran out games in the VFL, even kicking 2 goals in the last on debut. Now that sounds to me as a very good base.

Dunno about that Jmac. Swan put in a hell of a lot more work than he would care to let on to get to the level he did. It was something Buckley was very vocal about in Swans retirement presser.
With this, absolutely.
Swan was a strong worker, laid back yes. Never vocal about his deeds but he worked hard.
Deceptive runner too, a bit quicker than the waddle seemed.

As an aside never once do I recall him complaining on the field. Just kept on running, playing.

Amazing star, elite!

Not sure anyone is saying time trials are the be all and end all.
It's just something in this case, that's a bit competitive, you'd think, a nice solid tempo run, has relevance to an endurance sport like footy, and a guage of times relative to distance.
Doubt anyone gets selected on a time trial.
Better endurance and running abilities can't hurt players.

One thing re speed, no player in football history can run faster than a well kicked football.

Just popping in to say how much I was hoping we would get Kirby! He looks like the type of player who might only get 10 touches but finish with 3 goals and 2 assists. Good luck this year :)
Delicious?

PicaBoo also upsets me when he alludes to Bruce McAvaney

Both should be reported
Ha. I will go down in style

Bruce's new commentator replacing Dennis Commetti

(Not sure if Bruce would get much done, commentary wise that is)

It's not just an 'aside' SV, but a point I've often made and an attribute of Swan's which is little commented on. He never argued with umpires. He never sniped. He didn't get caught up in onfield brawls. He just got on with it.

Snap!

That was one of his best football qualities.
He just never ever complained.
Just waddled on and on.

Terrific onfield leadership from an outsider looking in.
Real onfield star. Just got on with it.

Your oft made point is rock solid gold.

Smokey for me round 1 if Elliott doesn't make it.
No. Let's see how he performs in the preseason. He can win our hearts by wearing thongs, but not our games.
And with only Cloke gone we have to fit Elliott, WHE and Mayne in somewhere in our fwd line so we aren't that desperate (yet).

You're making me cry, I miss him already.
