Those players are different given they broke laws. The discussion around Kirby has absolutely nothing to do with that. Frankly I'm annoyed that you'd use them as examples when as far as I'm aware Kirby hasn't set a foot wrong.

There are definitely issues unique to indigenous Australians, but lets not pretend only indigenous players can struggle to transition to an AFL environment.

I think due diligence should be done on all players and wieghing up professional behaviour versus potential and risk. was talking to Tristan walkers brother today he said average afl career is 3 years. I think preconceived thoughts on aboriginal players is highly skilled but more chance of finishing career because of life choices but I don't have stats on this.

Question going around is that Since the Indigenous Camp and has been AWOL.

The AFL Record Season ~~~~ (Guide) has for years included a list of all current and past indigenous players. Williams' name has never appeared on the list. The story I heard years ago was that he claimed to have Spanish heritage.

Was talking to a mate today who has links to the Pioneers and word is Kirby is a top kid and could be anything, more tricks than a Vegas magician. BUT will need to be managed. Easily led apparently, not drugs and/or alcohol, more about dedication to diet and training.

Going by the training reports he appears to lack a tank but it seems his commitment to doing it is 1st rate. Clearly all that hugging is lifting him to greater heights. Based on the limited info we have it appears he's going to give it a solid crack. Time will tell.

I heard he's been part of that show biggest makeover or whatever it's called.
That's why we haven't seen or heard from him.
Can't wait to see the results.

He showed some dedication by losing X amount of weight before drafted. I wonder if they are just putting him in the gym and working him hard in there. Maybe that is why we haven't seen him on the track? He was probably going to be the longest shot at playing seniors this year I think they will be gearing him up for next year.

additional fat (8kg) in the last few months. He was booted out of his house by Levi Greenwood for not being serious enough. Club put him back into share house and has been instructed that he will be cut off the list if he doesn't turn around his poor condition within 3 weeks.

Amazing goal kicker but no ethic.

Percentage of Aboriginal players in the AFL is much higher then the percentage of population who are Aboriginal, so you could say they have a high rate of making it.

If that is correct then with Travis and Daniel around plus the usual,suspects, he should have good citizens around him.
