I've prepared a 'Kirby goes to Hollywood' banner.. too embarrassed to hold it up though.. I'd feel like a nerd doing it.

Anyone wanna take it to the G?
Not befitting enough in The Woodsmen section?

I'm 178cms.. 180cms with heels.. so I'm 6 foot when I go out. I've got it all.
I could see you in drag, is your drag name Stewie?

(Points for those that know why I chose that name   :p)

The avg height of the Australian male is 175 cms. Just scraped in there for another above avg trait. Can't think of anything I'm avg or below avg in to be honest.

Modesty?

There is as much risk as anyone making there debut.
I say " unleash the beast" and Brown at the same time.

Out Goldsack Elliott Wells Crocker
In Langdon Kirby brown and health first Fassolo.
No need to be conservative

Appears though that there is still uncertainty about Kirby's match fitness and his capacity to run out a senior game. I thought he was okay against the BHH, still working hard late into the last quarter and reports from the Sandi game suggest he was again still working hard in the last, but it's a big step up to AFL footy.

Lol that's a suitable name

:D

But who knows if it's true or an old dressed up as a wives tale

Who knows - but it's been scuttlebutt for some time, as we clearly both know.
I'm glad to score your points too!
Like your racing passion. FYI - my all time best bet was on Princley Heart when it bettered Placid Ark in the 1987 Galaxy in NSW. Won many thousands that day, and was a young lad at the time too.
Gave it all back + more over the years - but a wonderful day that was. Not as interested these days, but still enjoy a small wager come Spring & Super Saturday.

Great post.

I loved placid ark, especially when he won the triple sprint crow, lightning, Oakleigh, Newmarket.
Fantasic horse.

Well done on your kill in the galaxy.

(The wins always get handed back)

You need your own racing thread as badly as TD needed his random thoughts thread.

This might even be true.

Giddy up

(I'm at Flemington races as it were)

If he's going to respond that way to niggle every game he's gonna have a rough time.

True enough, but he can take two positives out of the game. First, the attention he received was a compliment to his abilities. Second, he continued to influence the contest despite the attention he received, even though he allowed his opponent to get under his skin.

Lots of time for the kid but he lost focus badly at the tail end of the second quarter - I'm sure he will learn from it.

There were plenty of moments he cared more about hurting his opponent than doing what was best for the team.

It's an important time for the coaches to sit down with him and discuss how to deal with the niggling that will only get worse at AFL level if he makes it

I can't and don't disagree with the points you've just made, but I think it's encouraging that he didn't just drift off and go MIA.

No argument, I'm actually glad he got monstered in the V's as I'm sure he will learn from it. As you said after he was dragged and forced to settle down he was a strong contributor for the rest of the game.
