29 - he won't be happy with you!

well over the hill thats for sure boys, going to have a look at the match of the year this week. after watchin them both in the last month would have to say that nagambie move the ball alot better then undera but noone will shut down either of the spearheads and i think tht nagambie will win by 6 goals.

Undera are going to wipe the floor with Nags this week....
Undera have had there loss for the year and will go onto win the flag and Lanky a close 2nd!!!!!
Undera are well coached and drilled.
La Porta v Fanta Pants (Ratray) will be a crazy shot out with LaPorta to win 8goals to Fanta Pants 7..... This game should be a night match at mooroopna.

or tatura or ky

:D fair call but i still think the KDFL needs to jump on the night games bandwagon! as it is a great chance to get some good coin to all the clubs in the KDFL and to get other leagues players to get down and have a beer and watch some hard style KDFL footy......

They should play a final under lights at Ky. Not the Grand final, but maybe a earlier final. Imagine Lancaster vs Undera under lights at ky, the 2nd vs 3rd final. The crowd woud be huge. Instead they both have to travel to Violet town were the crowd would be half he size.

So who gets all the money from the Bar and Food Takings if it was held at KY ? Sure it would not be Violet Town

Watched the Lanky v Merrigum game. Not the best game, but it wasnt helped that I could hardly tell who had the ball with there outfit being very similar. Both wear blue socks, blue shorts and there gurnsey is perdominantly blue. Surley If the KDL wants to survive and act in a more professional manner a simple thing like white shorts should be brought in for the away side next year.

i agree white shorts for the away side, murch v rushy is bad and there are other clashes, picola league does it so should we

Yeah same with us and Undera. Usually if it's a sunny day it can be hard lookin' up the ground to see if ya kickin' to a 50-50 contest or just 2 of your own players.... All though it does give you a good excuse for tittin' up the opposition....
Undera put on on their alternative grey strip for our last match and that worked well.
In the CGFL we used to have to wear white shorts every away match no matter what and anyone that didn't wear the correct shorts or socks would incur a fine from the league towards the club. Was a bit to strict the fining side of it just if one bloke forgot his white shorts but it was handy to have different coloured shorts when playing teams with a similar strip.

Stanny and undera would be quite a clash of colours, even murch and lanky is pretty close, white shorts would be the way to go i reckon

When's the league vote count, and what are people's thoughts on who are the likely contenders? Anyone care to frame a market?

What about club B&F's, who are the likely contenders at each club & when are they being held?

Nagambie has it's B&F count this Sunday, think Scott Paulke would be the early favourite & is my smokey for the league medal behind Lancasters Paul Burnett.

My favourites from a few teams based on when we played them:

Nagambie - Clydesdale and Jason Shiels
Undera - Ben Stoertebecker and Spiro Vourgalis
Lancaster - Chris Eddy and Ryan Mitchell
Stanhope - Can't remember who played well
Murchison - Freeman and Trapani
VT - Nick Grey
Rushy - A Clarke, Matt Johnson and Solomon
Merrigum - Scarcella, Sullivans and Wellington
Tally - The younger Sidebottom was the only 4 quarter performer the day we played them.
Avenel - Not sure
Ardy - Boyle
Gig - Turpin

My money's on Stoertebecker, Jason Shiels, Eddy or Solomon

Jase Shiels was having a teriffic year up until a fortnight ago when he broke his leg 10 minutes into the Merrigum game, so he won't poll in the last 3 games. Reckon he'll be right up there in the Nagambie count until this point, arguably one of their best in and under type players.

Yeh sounds like there going to be in next year.

Really? Where'd you hear that about Rushy? I haven't heard anything.

Surely not.
The only reason a club would leave would be to strengthen their chance at attracting junior players....which this league seems to think juniors arn't important.

Tom Sullivan carved us up both times we played them this year, Stoertebecker killed us also, i think those two will both poll well.

Smokey would be M. Hodgetts from Murch, been kicking lots of goals and feeding them to Tigga Bradley on a silver platter - he'll tell you he has anyway...

It looks like Longwood will get to KDL ,I hear Rushworth is looking to go back to where they come from ,any truth in that

Back to the Heathcote League? How long have Stanny & Rushy been in the KD for now? Being in the Heathcote League would help any kids that go off to uni in Bendigo and would make them more attractive to Bendigo based players.

Big news if true!

There has been talk about Stanhope and Rushy both re-entering the HDFL on th HD thread but as people keep pointing out, why would they want to travel to Locky and Bendigo when in the KD the have hardly got any travel at all and have those rivals.

Definatly no truth in that.. I can assure you they will stay put in the KD

This could never happen, Rushy should fold before going back to the HDFL.

10 years ago when they come into the KDFL they were on there last legs, getting smashed by 30 goals every week and could not get players to fill sides each week. This would happen again for sure if they went back, I am not sure on this but I think that they would need to spend $60k - $100k a year like most of the top 4 clubs in the HDFL and Rushy would not be able to do this as almost every club in the KDFL could not. And where would they get the players from if they could? I am not having a go at Rushy but I do not think it is the right move for the club.
