Just wondering how did Undera go last night against Tatong at Benalla?
Any other praccy matches played over the weekend or night series games played?
VT played South Marong Sat night at Euroa and won by a couple of goals

And maybe mooroopna man might be able to give us a report on the ladies match that was taking place about 5pm, when I was going home after the cricket of which VT won one and lost one, what happened Bodzy?

Usually your skipper stands up in the big games, but Dougy Palmer failed yet again at the crease for a lousy lonely run and we only managed 144 off the 40 overs. Tatong made the runs 3 wickets down in the 26th over. On the plus side, end of season c grade bus trip will be on the cards though this saurday.....

Rushy got over Mathoura in a Six Term game on Saturday, not sure on final score but it was a few goals in the end.

East Burwood Womens Team, which is 1st Division, defeated Sunbury, which is second division quite easily. It was a high standard match and it was great for them to come up and support the Benalla Night Series. There were some really positive comments from all involved and hopefully it occurs next year again.

I watched Stanhope Play Morong on sunday, since im not playing this year i had a chance to watch, they lost by probably 30 points after being over run in the end. Lots of new kids in the team though.

Adrian Pappin was best on through the middle, the big fellow had the ball on a string and had 2nd,3rd and 4th efforts all day, Ryan Patten was good aswell, took a nice hanger to go with his bag of possesions. I thought Jamie Densley was good down back, held down key position players for a full game & Regan Hanson was good on a wing, very quick has nice disposal and had a bit of the ball, Brad Robinson was lively down forward along with Zach Dearing.

Was interested to see Jack Baker back at the club, which is a good thing for Stanhope he had a little bit of the ball but disposal let him down all day.

Stanhope will still be a good team with these new kids coming through along with the players from last year still remaining like Brent Sloan, Nick Gibbs, Rick Shears & Brenton Gray and there new recruits in Michael Fairweather, Joel Harrison, Jack Baker etc

Stanhope also played a guy named Ryan Logan. Not sure if he is playing this year but has trained. He went alright across the half back line doing the job asked of him

Main thing the lions need to improve on is fitness, as you mentioned we were over run and harder yards are needed to be put in on the track to see an improvement

That young opener failed just as he started to get going once again, lovely to watch him dispatch the short ball, oh well cant win em all but with a handy all rounder in the blonde bombshell #32 hopefully the boys can take the next step in 09/10

Were both teams at full strength or u not sure on that 1? What was the standard like?
Watched this game, Rushy dominated the 3rd quarter, 6th, and held on to that lead from halfway through that quarter , 6th, other than that both sides had moments of dominance.
Rushy had the 2 most dominate players of the game ,# 8, Jungle I think they were calling him and their full back were clearly the two best on the ground and always looked dangerous.
Mathoura didn't have last season regular players C.Wood, T.Preece, S.Railton, B.Willoughby, I.Phillips, M.Duggan, B.Unwin, C.Harding-Davies, whilst M.Sparey ,L.Hartshorn, B.Duggan-Hullands and C.Murphy who played ones when available last season didn't play either.
Recruit C.Hartshorn was also unavailable.
The game certainly had some good passages of play and given it was a 6 quarter game don't think either side ever had their best side on the park ?
The margin at the end was around 3 goals.

Stanhope play Elmore tomorrow night. Will still have probably 5 or 6 out. Some played last week & are unavailable, & some who are still not available. Should be a good hitout.

Was a pretty good quality game, interesting to see a handful of x Tonny 3rds running around for Stanhope, has been the case over the past couple of seasons that we lose some 17yr olds who still want to play 3rds, rather them head out to Stanhope than Ky.
Halliwell played a couple of senior games last year so he will be in the mix, other than that most are probably still a year away from getting a taste of it, Mark Watson has been good on the track and may sneak a game or two in.
Sam Dearing was a class above the rest of the kids out there and should be playing seniors all year along with Jimmy Fraser.

Sam Dearing will just be playing 3rd's this year.. all ready committed to it HAnk.

skut17 is there any chance on hansfords arrival home for the first game...... after a year off he wouldnt be in the best shape so prob play two's, either way might still be handy pick up as a leader for the young blokes coming thro,

Fraser has been training regularly with the seniors since December and will no doubt get a game here and there throughout the year. Played against VT last year in the ones so has already had a tatse of it and will be more than capable of holding a spot down back if given the chance.

poor kid has done the ACL and will be out for 12 months,, its just disappointing for a kid who could have had a really strong year.
