Hence why I think Nagambie are the team to Beat.
Merrigum are getting a bit old and have picked up old guys who wont be able to match it with an influx of young quality talent in the comp.
Round 1 wil be a huge test for Wombats.

Last I heard he was staying, Harley Taylor-Loyd, Ricky Misiti back, and Anthony Haysom will be as good as any recruit in the league, a very good GV footballer, not to the standard of Linc or Russ but he is in his prime, they aren't.
VT have their first praccy match next Wednesday night against old foe Benalla All Blacks

One of the old guys they picked up Linc Wellington is a class above any laker player will have a massive impact in the kdl.By the way rd 1 will also
be a big test for nagambie

Wellington was best player in tats two finals last year , BOG in the 2012 premiership , would be in the top 10 gvfl players in the last 15 years , think he will handle kdl ok .

You can't be serious. Do you really think he will suddenly fall apart? The KDL is 30 odd leagues beneath what he is used to, you silly boy.
He will teach every single "young gun" in the league a lesson. So will all the other old farts..

For longevity and consistency. Especially in big games and representative Footy it is very hard to dispute. I know it's his past and as Hank said he is certainly past his best.
At KDL level however, it's crazy to question him. No one had any doubts about him at GVL level only last year. What's changed?

Yeah I'm not questioning like i said I wouldn't know otherwise was just throwing it out there for anyone would love to know others thoughts on such a big call
Given how close Lancaster got to Murch in last year's semi (and then Murch got close to Nagambie) I would assume Lancaster is the team to beat given their improvement. Only question with Lancaster is who will be their goalkickers, do they have a gun key forward?

Barn goes well enough doesn't he?? probably get closer to the ton this year with the improvement of skill that we have injected.. I rekon he probably kicked 80 odd last year? Hocking at CHF and throw Shultz in there and there's some goal kicking ability
Will be harder with less quality around him. Heard Pricey is bringing a few boys from Melb up to Nagambie which will help them out a bit.
Love all this good talk about who's guna be the team to beat, which players are over/underrated, etc etc.... Adds abit more interest to the season!! Love it, keep going boys.... 
You bit upset no one is talking about you smooth you wanted to add this piece Haha hearing from a tat legend in phils dad, Linc was a wanted player at tat and dominated in big games last year, so he will have a big impact. Also think Tom sull would as well. Big Impact coming from the Melbourne lads also for lanky. Will be some crackin games!! Be sad if reports of rushy are true. Yep still hearing Rushy are in trouble, is it true that they contacted Rob Osborne (Mooroopna, now Waaia Coach) early days about Coaching? Word is he was going to take the job with Shane Lynch returning with him, but never received a follow up call? And Yes Linc was/and still is that good.

Haven't heard anything mate, know they have signed Stuart Day from Rumba and Corey Atkinson-Harlen from Tonny, with big Eric I am sure there would be some links to the Stars through those fellas.

Good point ky flyer, I think lanky lack another key proven goal kicker. Barnett did a good job last year but felt lanky lacked other tall key forwards. Not sure if they have recruited any other genuine goal kickers. I have heard that another past gun 100 season goal kicker is pulling the boots on again.
