I'd suggest the two biggest issue in country footy are player numbers and club administration workload.
The proposal put forward will undeniably add to both these issues.
I'd prefer a state wide proposal was drawn up to increase the percentage of players who play senior football after finishing junior age football and reduce workload on volunteers.

Your first proposal is a long term goal that the AFL has definitely has ignored but that I believe AFL Victoria now acknowledges. An increasing workload on volunteers is not something peculiar to football/netball or indeed any sporting club. Compliance issues foisted upon volunteer organisations are quickly approaching those required of business corporations and as money in sport increases (including funding potential liabilities) so will the demands of the various levels of government. At the moment, depending on what your organisation does, committees are subject to local, state and federal regulations and legislation.

I'm hoping you are hearing right smooth! Sammy LaPorta is a gun and would be highly sought after! But unfortunately I can't see it happening any time soon..
If Undera had him coming out of full forward last weekend the result v's lanky might have been different!?

Yeah I agree Pastit, he definitely has some talent! But yeah hopefully someone else can confirm it but I'm hearing after their RD10 bye he will play?

By the sound of your confidence that he won't play it looks like my "sauce" is nothing but a jar of tomatoes!! Haha
 
Vt ran away in the last at gig to win by 7-8 goals. Some quality player at vt but feel that they would be out muscled easily as there weren't many big frames getting around, can't see them challenging the likes of Nagambie, lanky or the gum but could easily make the bottom half of the 6!! Any other results?

Wow there was an interesting result today can someone fill me in Stanhope beat Lancaster. Is it true people are starting to say that their recruits are just chasing the kanga also heard that Russ lee didn't get a kick the pres would be getting a little nervous spending all this coin

Well All I can say is stanny did their homework and got the rite match ups and played a good hard brand of footy.. As I said to a certain bloke on here if they have enough inside 50s and get it forys they will not stop him.. From a teams point of view Stanhope looked impressive and was a great team effort.. For lancy well I think their is only a couple of blokes that could hold their head.. And one of those was a 3rds kid no54 I think.. Can play the kid will be a dominant player in years to come.. Instead of paying these so call guns who didn't get a kick and arnt worth there money.. Blood these young kids who will be the future as there a probably a few more in that strong lanky 3rds team that could play 1s.. Nagaz are well ahead of the rest at this stage with a lot more depth than their challengers.. It will nagaz v ??? Grand final..

Well it seems Saturday's result has Lanky thinking they need a couple more top up players! I'm hearing 1 has already signed (Craig Whelan) & they're hoping to get the signature of another later this week!!

Ps & before anyone starts their dribble that I'm upset or disgruntled blah blah blah well no I'm not I'm just reporting what I'm hearing!! Cheers
