Funny that - I can tell you exactly how I know its you ratsnake, your girlfriend told someone who then told me.

Who gives a s h i t, there is obviously problems at the club, whether it be an individual or a group of people, I am sure the club will work through it.

If this is whats going on up there, I think that all have you have missed the bleeding obvious.
Wouldnt the poor bloke who has coached Avenel for the past two years deserve better than this.
If this is part of whats going on up there I would hate to think what the poor bugger has put up with himself..

Surely hes deserved better. ??

Like Ive said if the Swans are chasing Patty and Pearcey for 2007 why cant Fess still be at the helm with em as assisants - have I missed something here - I thought Patty & Fess got along alright?

Thats the key. Getting a young bloke like Shaun Pearce in there to recruit the young ones, and an 'older and wiser' team manager/assitant or whatever you want to call it by his side to help out with the tough decisions. And as far as I know - the Avenel committee will open their arms to an offer such as this.

Finally someone with some positive comments about Avenel, it's good to see:thumbsu:

Re: Kyabram District FL

Rushworth v Stanhope (running hot)
Yea v Merrigum (the wet track they've waited for)
Nagambie v Lancaster (sorry Ross but Wombats easy in ya last game at the helm)
Undera v Girgarre
Murchison v Ardmona (closest game of the round)
Avenel v Tallygaroopna (big upset for Thorpey's last game)

Re: Kyabram District FL

it doesent matter who coaches ky they still wont win a game...there is a losing trend at that club and they wont get out of it for some time...losing is accepted and i cant understand it!!!good luck to whoever takes the job

I love when a debutante contributes worthwhile topics, welcome aboard teddy :thumbsu:

I too heard the Smythe whisper Sunday at Deakin (before my memory left me!!!) along with other Swans team mates including a ruckman

was looking through the kdfl website and discovered some disturbing stats
Year Premier Goalkicker
2006 Ardmona Meka (Ard)
2005 Tallygaroopna Wayman (Tal)
2004 Rushworth Canavan (Rus)
2003 Stanhope Exell (Sta)
2002 Ardmona Yze (Ard)
2001* Lancaster Exell (sta)
2000 Stanhope Exell (sta)
1999* Nagambie Irwin (Rus)
1998* Nagambie Canavan (Sta)
1997 Undera Giles (Und)
1996 Ardmona Loveless (Ard)
In the last 10 years only 3 sides have won it without the league leading goalkicker in their team. the last being 2001:eek: Should Ardmona be favourites? would love to hear your thoughts
5 years in a row, if i was in charge of a kdfl team's recruiting i'd be after a proven goalkicker!;)

Re: Kyabram District FL

I hear that Stanhope will lose at least three players to Tongala next year.
and Pearce will return south to Aven-gambie.

Gigarre have decided that they didn't waste enough money this year and are on the prowl in the northern states for more football mercenaries.
I wouldn't have thought they would have to travel that far.

Maybe they should chase after the WAKOOL rejects from MELBOURNE who love clubs like that.

Yeah have heard whispers that Stanhope might lose 1 or 2 to Tonny & have also heard, 1 possibly 2 gun gvfl interleague forwards are in the mix to sign with Tonny.

Have heard Pearcey being the topic of conversation amongst a few players and supporters from down Aven-gambie way. What would be the chances of Sauce leaving Stanhope to return to one of his former clubs?? One would think it'd be unlikely??

i wouldn't think pearcey would leave stanhope next year unless was given a coaching role at one of the clubs

Don't know why he would want to coach them next year. Would of thought he would be in for a long season. They would need to recuit 5 top players to even be competitive. And even though they have a few kids out of the under 18's with a bit of talent it will take them a couple of years to get used to senior footy.

Funnily enough, because we have been so bad the last 2 years the kids from the 18's have played quite a lot of games. All three O'connor's have already made an impact at senior level, along with Sam Martin and Koota Kanters before he got injured. At the very least these four have proven they can handle playing with the big boys.
Also, we have a reasonable core of players at the club with Subba, Jed, Lovenuts, Brett C, Steff, Robbie, and add Pearcey & Patty(hypothetical). We just lack depth, the last 2 years we have had holes all over the field that get exploited, for christ sake i even got a few games! I think if we keep what we have and gain these 5 top players you speak of we will again rise up the ladder not just be competitive, barring injury of course.
