Re: Kyabram District FL

have heard that Mark Nicholls may be taking over the reigns at Yea. Any truth?

Re: Kyabram District FL

Has anyone heard how reigning premier Ardmona are shaping up?? Have they started training?? Any new recruits or lost any apart from Lowe, Meka, Moon, Williams and Joey D???

Re: Kyabram District FL

Yeah that would be Patty Horsburgh. Played 2006 at Euroa. Probably played approx. 4-5 senior games. Went ok. Good skills and will go ok at Violet Town.

Will be a waste for Patty to head back to VT while his still so young. He is still young and with many players leaving Euroa he would have become a regular senior player at the club this year.

Home is where the heart is BOSS so he'll be playing for us this year....:D

Re: Kyabram District FL

No name as yet - and you have misunderstood Doona - only 6 trained not 6 new blokes

It's amazing that people say stuff on here that is way off target. Avenel has not started training yet. Those guys that went out to the Harvest Home on sunday where there for a beer with the new coach, not to train. They where invited by the President as they will most likely be the leadership group for the club.

I think it would be better for everyone if people clarified details before putting to paper for all to read.

Fairly serious first up Big Footy post their krato, but glad you've kept it real.

The whole concept of these forums is that when people are in the know like you are on this occasion you can tidy up such rumours that are "way off target" as you suggest.

Any chance ya can tell us who's your coach and who were are the lads likely to be making up the leadership group?

Re: Kyabram District FL

Dont no how true this is but appartently Murchison is in big trouble with no quality numbers for this year and looking negiative for season 2007. I have been told that one of there very good players is playing the wait and see game before he decides to look at other options and has been linked to a Picola league club if things dont improve

Sorry if I have not followed the set protocol for first time users there Doona2. I have been following this forum for awhile, although without comment.

In regards to the coach, which I must add, is still is not finalised. You will all have his details if all falls into place after this weeks committee meeting.

The players where a mix of old and new faces, just to have a nice sunday by the pool.

Stanhope- Gray and whoever else they decide to put in there will go close.
Rushworth - Hanson, Snelson, Rasmussen Winterton, Perry, Waasdorp Gee Tav thats a bit of a Dad's Army, who are the younger blokes that will play a role in there this year?

Youngsters Lynch and Scotty Lambden are good enough to be in the mix, and I would love too see big Andrew Clarke have a run in the ruck, that kid has talent to burn!

I think it is probably fair to say he will join his brother up at the lakers this year Doona, having said that i couldnt see him heading back home unless things were on the improve up there. Is Robbie Auld set to coach? I have also heard rumours Mick Roberts may be a chance to head back asto is John Enrico. Can anyone in big footy land confirm this? What about Brent Clydesdale?

If sheils does infact end up at nagas then i would expect him to have a stellar season finally being able to showcase his attacking flair, perhaps he may have a point to prove?

What about your mate Inness doona whom is in the same bout as Shiels?

If Clydesdale plays it will be at Nagambie, full on with his work as a chiropractor though. Roberts won't be heading back there anytime soon, Tongala this year and will play Major league somewhere for the next few years I'm sure.

Thanks KK, thought of Lambden but wont he be in the mix for Pioneers?, and isnt Clarke thinking of having a run in Ky? Lynch CHF.

Gavin Gledhill has been appointed senior coach of the Lakers for 2007. Boys have had a couple of runs, 1 prior to xmas & 1 last sunday. Had about 12-15 sunday morning minus about 6 young blokes, Muir, Hutton etc who were up in Qld, so numbers aren't great but i guess not bad for a sunday morn in the 1st week of Jan. An improvement on previous years numbers anyway.

Have spoken to almost all the blokes u mentioned, here's what i got -

I'm led to believe Micky Shiels is all but signed at lakerland for 2007 & is expected pen to paper in the near future, interesting though that i'm pretty sure he hasn't had a pre season run with the lakers yet & wasn't there for last sundays training, still i'd expect he'll play there this season.

Almost certain Mick Roberts will join good mate Harro up at Tonny where he'll be a welcomed addition and will prove a handful for the opposition.

Johnny Enrico has been to all training sessions & here's a 'scoop' for all you BF followers - Enrico was offered the assistant coaching gig last sunday. Unsure what he'd do, very keen but has just started building his house, time/commitment factor. 50/50 chance of accepting it at this stage.

Robbie Auld will be involved but unsure at what capacity. Possibly minor role game days or selection.

Chickenman (Clydy) not sure how the body is, if memories correct had some niggling injuries 2 years ago when i played with him which still might influence his decision & also work commitments. Would be surprised if he played.

Linc Sullivan - same as Chickenman.

Oh & Inness will be wearing Roo's colors this year.

Beat me to it Hank..

Aah you kept that quiet doon! Fair enough on Rob's behalf as I thought he was hard done by at Seymour last year. Should have been playing in the late game GF day, as he is better than some that did. Any chance big red joining him at the roos?

Not sure Hank, havent really heard of what they are up too, your probably right, they were the 3 best youngsters to come through last year, hopefully Clarke does play in the GVL, he is good enough, Lynch at CHF, not sure, heard Rushy could have recruited a CHF type, not sure of his name though, but Lynchy is certainly good enough, but would love too see him run on the ball at some stage.

Linc Sullivan looks set to stay at South Bendigo for another year.

I would think Clarke will play at CHF with Lynch on the flank if he hangs around for the year. Lambden would be a chance with the pioneers although trained there all last pre season and got cut when he got injured just before the start of the season. Clarke should have a huge year if has a serious crack.
