I suppose that would explain why one of the stanhope backmen ended up with a broken nose!!! If you are seriously sayin stanhope are snipers think again mate.

yeh n one of our players got concussed from a stanhope player after he kicked the ball the stanny player tackled him n then rammed his head into the ground to get up! real good sportsman ship :thumbsdown:
 
stanhope taking losing form into the finals, bad omen i reckon.
lancaster v merrigum

merrigum:no good...we played well, against a weak team.
Lancaster ended up missing out on finals by a little over 4% or equivalent to 10 goals throughout the season.

Its probably not a bad thing coming into finals losing gives you are good reality check and also gives the boys a real eye opener as to what they have to do if they want the cup at the end off the day. Will help them make them stronger if anything more determination will be the result and next time they play stanhope will hit back you'll see oxy.

Also Oxy if you weren't so hungry having pot shots from the boundry all the time and handballed you lot probably would kicked enough goals to get that percentage up. haha;)

Interesting how you saw the game. We must have been at different ones, because the only incident that i can recall is your captain dropping a Stanhope player 50 metres behind play with a flying headbutt. I can understand why he was frustrated though because he was the only Ardy player who was beaten on the day.

im not saying all of our players aren't snipers they like to go in hard to the ball and sometimes they do stupid things... im just saying another bloke from tally said that stanhope were bein snipers once tally started to come bak and you could tell they were doing it during the match thats all..apart from that a very good team and i cnt wait to play them again(hopefully in the granny) haha cheers :thumbsu:

It was no where near the ball, and quite gutless. Enjoy your win, because you earned it and completely outplayed Stanhope, but don't get on here with crap about Stanhope sniping while your captain is running around off the ball dropping blokes. Good luck for next week, and see you in the second semi.
 
My tip for the U18 medal tonight is A.Hurd (Ardmona) played an awesome game last week and heard he's had a very good year!!!! but could have votes taken off him by gibbs, mellington and scott but will still have polled enough votes to take out the medal. B C to poll a fair few votes this year to come second by 1 vote while R.Patten (Stanhope) to be up their as well but has missed a few games this season which will make him miss out on the medal again. A couple of dark horse for the medal is DJ (Avenel) and J.Williams (Nagambie) to be right up their!

I wouldn't be surprised at all if DJ finished around he top end. Edged out Chris Chee for te Avenel B & F on saturday. Takes alot of marks and played between CHF, CHB and on the ball. Only thing against him is that he missed around 4 games mid year with a calf injury.
 
Think it will be pretty close this year with only a couple of votes seperating first and second.

The top 5 here look like a pretty clear indication of tallys year, how alot of people would have expected it. how close was the count? great to hear ardy topping stanhope on the weekend, just sets the finals up to be even bigger than before. cant wait! :thumbsu:

Umm. i think Tim was like 97 votes Aaron was 67 Tom was 54 i think
 
Congratulations to Nick, only saw him once, but he dominated and was very impressive. He polled in 10 out of 18 games, great effort!
 
Congratulations to Nick it was a great effort by him he had an outstanding year, but you cant forget about Ryan Patten played 15 games for the year and was winning until the last round even after he missed the last two games of the season.
 
Well done big boy Varcoe. Thoroughly deserved it mate and very unlucky not to be playing finals. Top player with great set of hands and can run a fair bit for a big bloke too:thumbsu:
 
Well said sharpshoota but still cant deny young Patten, he will defintely be around the top of the votes again next year and will be a big boost for Stanhope when he comes back in the semi final.

Dont no about that young jamesy. Rumours have it his going to girgarre for $100 a game for the next few years
