Food, Drink & Dining Out Kebabs

I have heard Crazy Kebabs in Moonee Ponds are very good but I have never been there.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, they do kebabs in the thick Turkish bread. Good kebabs but they stuff them too full so it falls out everywhere.

I recommend eating in and getting the "open kebab" on a plate.....1 open kebab just about feeds 2 people :thumbsu:

What about people who live in Southern Melbourne? Not too many contributing, I'd nominate the one at Cheltenham station. Another good one around, although not a kebab (souva) which you can get at a Fish and chip shop in Beaumaris is called "The Spartan". Normal Kebab, with added ingredients of mustard, red chilli, red onions, capsicum and chips. Is a very nice bite.

Kebab kingdom in Highett is very good.

Turkish Oven on Albany Hwy in Vic Park is fantastic and I've been getting kebabs from there for 10+ years. Turkish Kitchen in East Vic Pk is superb as well...both in Perth, but the best I've ever had, and which I regularly drive 100km roundtrip from Coburg to Dandenong, is at the Dandenong market at a little caravan called Adana Kebab...they are quite simply the best.

It is OT, but back in the 70's there was a guy who drove a caravan, selling baked potatoes. It was called Tommy Tatters & he used to park outside Dorset Gardens & the Croydon Hotel. You can shove your kebabs, Tommy Taters crapped all over kebabs.

You can keep your crappy spuds thank you very much.

Gino's Kebabs right next to a car wash I'm pretty sure along Pascoe Vale Road in Strathmore have never let me down. Been there a few times whenever I stay at a mates place from uni after a night out with him, owner is nice and they're an efficient working group. Would give it a 4/5
How did I miss this one. This is my "local" as well, tucked away behind the Clean Bay carwash, you'd almost miss it if you didn't know it was there. Not the best kebab I've had but still pretty decent.

Dude, I don't know about you, but whenever me and my mates have had a bender and end the night with an obligatory kebab, no one is sharing :)

What's the name of the one in Nunawading in the car park of an abondoned servo?

EDIT: Might actually be Mitcham.

Have gone down hill really badly in the last couple of years.

If the wife isn't there forget about it. You are sure to get the wrong order or it be terrible.

Mickleham Road Pit Stop is now the way to go.

Oh really? Haven't been there in just over a year, that's really unfortunate news. I'm not sure what to believe in anymore haha

I retract my hasty call in my first post, the best kebab in Perth is clearly at the Turkish Kitchen

Kebab Box (across from Campbellfield KMart) - 4.2 stars
Kebab Box is Haci's, but a little busier and a bit more expensive. Their chips are some of the best I've had in my life, but that's not the point. Their meat is full of flavour, clean (you don't feel like a pig when you eat it). I like my kebabs more savoury than sweet, which is why Kebab Box isn't a 5. Their bread and meat are a little sweeter than your ideal kebab place, but it is still absolute first class. Can get packed, but it's worth it. Staff are great too.

Lol, great name! Dont think Mehmet thought that one out too well :D

Kebabs are mouthwatering. Kebabs are delicious. Kebabs are succulent, juicy, heavenly, beautiful, slightly fattening and fully satisfying creations of scrumptious OMNOMNOM. But when they're crap, they're absolutely atrocious. Feel free to help fill the gaps, recommend those you love and shit talk those that had you panting on the loo.

I take my kebabs seriously, so as the OP, I feel it is my duty to propose a Scale.
1/5 stars - I've shished out better kebabs
2/5 stars - Donert want
3/5 stars - Just meats my standards
4/5 stars - Glamborous
5/5 stars - Kebabvana
To get things started
Yay
?
The original paragraph describing kebabs and in fact the rating system could be used word for word to describe and rate vaginas.

Carry on.
