Kerr video.... I think he is gone....

You never know with the tribunal.

guy one snots another guy doesn't get reported, guy 2 bumps another guy with unavoidable contact carrying his momentum, gets 2 weeks.

The players have no idea now.

neither do the umpires.

I think it's worth 2 weeks. Absolutely no malice intended, and he even showed genuine interest in the victims wellbeing seconds afterwards, but it was VERY dangerous.

He just has to to go for it, unfortunately.

If he gets rubbed out for this you could say a bit of karma for the Sam Mitchell incident which clearly was a two weeker for complete stupidity. The irony of the tribunal continues to amuse me.

Re: Kerr video.... I think he is fugged....

I think I heard him say "Sorry mate, I was aiming for the upper thigh.......".
That will be his defence at the tribunal. Zero weeks and a retrospective suspension of Sam Mitchell this week for putting Kerr under mental distress last year for moving while Kerr was punching.

I've posted the Official AFL Tribunal policy before, but in case you missed it, here it is again.

Step 1 Toss a Coin, Head he's reported, and the case is heard, Tails they let him off.
Step 2. Toss Coin again. Heads he's suspended, Tails he's let off.
Step 3. Roll a dice to determine how many weeks.

Appeal Process.
Repeat Step 2, and 3 if neccessary.

Unfortunate but i'd think he'll get at least 1-2 for it.

Lucky i didn't put that brownlow bet on him like i was so close to doing last saturday.

I did but im also on Judd so he will save me :) . Will get 1 week

Re: Kerr video.... I think he is fugged....

Contact to the shoulder, not the head. Minimal contact. Will get offered 2 and will get off on appeal.

No, take your WCE glasses off, and take another looksey. He makes contact with the shoulder and the side of the head, and you can add to that the fact he wasn't going for the ball, and clearly knew what he was doing. I love the hypocrites around here, if it was Hall you'd all be saying he should be suspended for the rest of the season.

Kerr goes down, but up go Judd's Brownlow odds.

spot on - but he'll get off for sure...no way the AFL will have him roamin the streets with Benny for 6 weeks...to much time on there hands...come back sniffin more than a basset hound at the airport.

If that was Byron Pickett hed have been moved to Gauntanamo Bay....

Just a farce with the EEgirls at present....

If it was Hall then the tribunal would let him off.

Kerr is a star footballer. Let me make that perfectly clear, and I am a Hawks supporter.

However, in this instance watch the vision closely. Now keep in mind, the position of the Melbourne player. He never had control of the ball and was close to the ground, clearly the ball was still in dispute and Kerr could have attempted to contest the footy.

Kerr attempt is nowhere near the footy. Lucky there was no serious injury.

Kerr you misjudged it, again.

Last year it was Mitchells inner thigh, today you almost sent a demon to heaven.

3 weeks, and no soup for you.

All I stated was the Melbourne player had zero control of the footy. The footy was in dispute, clearly a 50/50 ball and Kerr chose not to contest it.

Would you like me to break it down for you even further?

Not looking favourable.

There was minimal, if not zero contact to the head. Mostly chest and shoulder. You clearly heard the umpire report him for contact "to the head", which didnt actually happen.

Player got straight up with no ill effects so the impact will be assessed as low.

Given the light rulings given by the tribunual this year, if its any more than a week i'll be surprised. Be plead down to a reprimand.

This is just the opportunity the AFL has been looking for. The AFL is very angry with the Eagles and Kerr imparticularly. So far though West Coast has been able to slip through without any punishment. Often by legal technicalities.

Now this falls into their lap. The crackdown on head high contact has waned since the beginning of the year but I would not be surprised if the AFL uses this as an opportunity to stamp its autority.

I think they will offer him the same penalty as Michael Johnson, 3 weeks with a guilty plea. I know the MRP and guys on the tribunal are seperate to the AFL in some regards but they will probably have a quiet word spoken to them.
