That said both Amon and Ablett were in the same boat.
But back to the topic of this thread, Kirk was more than worthy. Kirky might not be the biggest "star player" going round, but he'd be up there as one of the best footballers from a club perspective since Kell and Dunkley (two scrappy players that were all heart themselves) were running around.
i thought barry hall was more valuable this year but yeah kirk is a gun well deserved, anyone would take him at their club cos he obviously works his arse off and is a great leader 2.
melbournes midfield isn't as soft as its made out to be. moloney, mclean, sylvia will address this small problem in years to come. johnstone and bruce are ok at winning the hardball its only really yze and green that make us seem bad.
