KISS to play at the Grand Final

Lt. Hookstratten : May I start by saying how thrilled we are to have you here. We are such fans of your music and all of your records. I'm not speaking of yours personally, but the whole genre of the rock and roll.

I'm very late to this, but I am stoked to have KISS as the entertainment. My son is 19, he saw them live for the first time last year, and they're one of his favourite bands.

I get they're old and past their prime (some would argue so was Robbie Williams last year), but they're one of the biggest rock bands of all time and certainly know how to put on a show. Some are saying they want some young up and coming Aussie, as if we haven't had that in previous years and most people thought it sucked.

Anyway, I assume the set list will be 6 songs so I hope it's these...

Detroit rock city
I was made for loving you
Lick it up
Love gun/Shandi
Shout it out loud
Rock and roll all nite

Sounds about right, but I’d replace lick it up and love gun/shandi with I love it loud because gene tends to breathe fire in that track, and they’ll finish with god gave rock n roll to you 2.

Songs from the unmasked era would be great but the only track from that era will be God Gave Rock n Roll to You II.

If they were playing anything from the unmasked era it would be likck it up or heavens on fire which are in their set list currently .

Dont reckon Shandi will get a run. Its basically a Paul Stanley single. None of the other guys in the band play any instruments on the single, and Stanley plays solo in concert.

Hopefully no chance in heck Shandi gets a run but last tour in Australia the full band was doing it

I just ask they play a slow one so I can have a dance.

They might even slip in a cover of an Aussie rock band's song like The Killers did with Midnight Oil, just imagine them doing an ACDC cover.
Ha. They don't even know the deep cuts of their own catalogue. KISS is guilty of many things but playing off the cuff isn't one of them.

How this thread has made it to so many pages is hilarious.

Paul Stanley's voice blew out after his "Live To Win" solo tour and the band has been largely playing to a live backing track for many years. There will be no variables tomorrow. 3 lip synced songs and exit.

If I was to bet on the 3 tracks I'd have to lock in "Detroit Rock City", "Shout It Out Loud" and "Rock And Roll All Nite".
