If you read DSA, PD made the comment of a U-turn in relation to my calling him a dud then saying i'd want him. I never said he was a dud in any of my posts just pointed out the reality that he's an average player who inconsistently turns in a good performance, disappears when it really counts and is well over-rated. Doesn't mean he's not worth getting "at the right price" it's just if you'd read my calculations of the right price is much less than what everyone else wants to trade for him, of which everyone else seems to be unrealistic in what Freo would want for him.

Perhaps you should go back to school, learn not to behave like a petulant school girl

You seemed rather adamant that you wouldnt want Simmonds, then provide a few reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea, then you relent and say 'at the right price'.

Hence U-turn. How am I being petulant? I am pointing out the obvious flaws in your logic, the only one ranting and raving here is you.

Boomer or Grant wouldn't get a first round pick. And who would leave the Saints and come to a club that isn't going to make the finals?

Probably best to ask a Saints supporter what they think - they are going to be more honest in the way they rate our players for trade. We over-rate our players worth.
 
Fusion, If you think either of them two aren't worth a first round pick then you are the one whos on the drugs. I dont overate them, but Grant and Harvey are easily worth a first round pick, easily, if not a bit more.

That would depend on who you're trading with.

Clubs with strong midfields (St.Kilda, Port Adelaide, West Coast, Brisbane, Geelong) wouldn't part with their first round picks.

However, other clubs who would want to boost their midfields (Adelaide, Hawthorn, Collingwood) might be persuaded to give up a first round pick - especially for someone like Harvey.

Clubs with strong midfield probably wouldn't entertain thoughts of chasing these blokes in the first place, given the bucks they're on.

I'm happy to see them both kept on.

But everyone must realise that we are now in full rebuild mode and I'll say it again, we have too many 5'10" 80 kg blokes and even with all the guts in the world these bodies won't hurt any of the top four sides.

Trade value might’ve slid up a tad since these posts. Past 3 games have been outstanding, ranked 5th in marks per game . Interesting to hear what our resident talent scouts have to say?

Spaz and hack were part of some descriptions weren’t they?
