Pietersen.

Smith's been in a slump for the past 20 or so tests and he's never really done it against Australia either.
No surprises that you're a pom

also worth noting that KP has played 18 tests

As I posted in the other thread, comparing both players after 18 tests gives:

KP: 1597 runs @ 48.39, 5 hundreds
GS: 1639 runs @ 58.53, 5 hundreds (Including THREE double hundreds)

Without the benefit of hindsight, and knowing nothing about Smith's upcoming form slump, you'd pick Smith every time. He'd just rattled off back to back double tons against England, and was looking like one of the best bats in the world and he was captaining his country at a very young age.

Of course, now it is a bit closer as Smith's performances have dropped off.

Just goes to show, there's no guarantee that KP will continue to maintain his current standard.

I picked Smith - Just.

Muppet has technical problems, which is widely acknowledged. Both use too much bottom-hand ; both favour the legside too much. Mupp very vulnerable to inswing and constantly out LBW due to lack of footwork.

And I see that KP is closing the gap in the poll.

So yes, you lied and now you won't admit it.

Poor form. It's a bad character flaw, lying like that.

Guess someone who childishly refers to another as 'muppet' like it's really cool could be expected to have such an attitude.
