Wouldn't take long to whip him back into nick. Btw I've seen plenty of Park Footballers with a shitload better muscle definition than some blokes running around in the AFL. Not to many Porkies running around in top Grade Park Footy comps these days I can tell you. When blokes are getting paid more than State League Players Fatties don't cut it.

He would be 65-70kg right as we speak

One from the vault for you guys. A 19-year-old Kurt Tippett playing for the Southport Sharks in the QAFL in 2006. In just his second ever season of Aussie rules, he was promoted into the senior Southport team and played a pivotal role as the second highest goal kicker for the club throughout their QAFL Premiership winning season that year. As some of you may know he played alongside soon-to-be Swan Jesse White at Southport that season as well as other future AFL players Brent Renouf, Haydyn Kiel and brother Joel Tippett.

He's now a part-time forward coach at Gold Coast

Dew must have liked him

Bedford medal should go to 4th place. In a year or two we'll forget he came 3rd.

Geez you guys like a sook don't you. Can't recall the dissent about taking Tippett for nothing when he decided he wanted to "go home" to Sydney.
We owe you guys a smack, so you'll just have to suck it up for reasonable value, unlike what your club screwed us with or let him walk to the PSD.

I know this is trolling but I will bite.

Tippett was Adelaide's own doing.

- Not Sydney's fault Adelaide cheated the cap
- Not Sydney's fault Adelaide included a clause for a second round pick
- Not Sydney's fault you got caught.

Yes Tippett probably should have gone to his true home (GC) but whilst he was great early on he hardly showed us true value in the end.

Also both clubs management departments are very different these days, neither club owe each other anything.

Yes it was our doing, but Sydney used that opportunity to twist the knife. Don't expect that things get forgotten, it goes both ways.
Anyway, I like Sydney as a club, just pointing out the long memories...

Don't worry I won't post again. I forgot how precious club boards are and that they don't like facts.

Look in your own backyard first....

As Gunston walked out on the Crows citing homesickness for family in Melbourne, Trigg called for the award to be handed to young defender Daniel Talia on Friday night.

``The Mark Bickley Award recognises a young player who lives to the club's values,'' said Trigg from Melbourne where the Crows are continuing their search for a new coach.

``It is a management decision - my decision - that as a football club we will not reward someone who walks out on the club.

``We will not reward someone who wants to be somewhere else.

``Deciding to not attend the club champion presentation but to go back to Melbourne does not fit to club values.''

Welcome. You can post if you show some respect. Otherwise, off you go please. There are plenty of places on BF to hate on us. Here is not one of them.

Sydney hardly dug in the knife.

They acted as any other professional football club would act in that situation and offered a deal that was relative to Tippetts existing contract (a second round selection).

Obviously when that fell through they targeted the pre season draft.

Actually know Gunston personally from school (well used to know him quite well).

It was a family situation that caused him to move, anyone would have moved in that situation.

Crows supporters in full flight.

First they suggest trading Paul Seedsman who will be 30 at the beginning of next season for Dawson.

Now they are all salty and revisionists in history after the Tippett trade debacle.

The Crows and Tippett's management signed off on a contract which promised to trade Tippett for a second-round draft pick at the end of his contract to the club of his choice. All along that club was expected to be the Suns. The Crows also agreed to pay him up to $200,000 outside the salary cap (hence Tippett's 12 week ban). The Crows are at fault and have admitted as much to the AFL (hence stripped off draft picks in round 1 and 2). Just as they were about to sign off on a deal with Sydney Swans to send Tippett to the AFL premiers in trade week, they confessed. The deal was halted. The scandal exposed.

Swans weren't guilty of anything... other than signing Tippett to a hefty pay packet that he never quite lived up to.

Tippett was technically coming home given he was born in Sydney....

You went onto another team's board to complain about them being pissed off about a player leaving? Busy day? 😂

Tell you what, I'm impressed by the memories of these Crows fans to still be cracking the shits about the Tippett saga.

I don't even remember what I had for breakfast, let alone this Kirk Tippett fella.

You honestly don't think Tippett's management didn't tell Sydney that he can come very cheap despite offering him $1M per season because they had this "gentleman's" agreement in an email to force a trade? Why did Sydney offer a sh*t trade to us in the first place if they didn't know hence the deal fell through and the AFL started to look at why a club would offer such small trade value for $1M a year player they wanted to sign, so they looked more closely at his contract and discovered he was paid 3rd party payment of $200K over 3 years which was actually within the salary cap if they've been declared. Compared to what Carlton did, we received a very harsh and same punishment as Carlton.

"some of my best friends are swans fans ..."
The 2016 GF was the worst footy day of my life following the Swans.
Yes because of the way we lost but mainly because I had a loud mouthed Swan supporter who woulfn't shut up from start to finish no matter how many fellow supporters told him to from before the first bounce to after tbe game.
The worst footy fan I have ever seen & heard including opposition fans in all of my life.
So some Swans fans are my enemies.
