Reading the posts from folks from Sadelaide you know why so many of us escaped. Sadelaide is known as 30/30 amongst expats, 30 mins and 30 yrs behind the rest of the country. Not surprising that Kurt wants out
If South Australian teams find keeping players difficult, that is all the more reason to compensate them fairly when they inevitably lose players.

You might want to consider changing your username MyManDawes or team you support if you want people to take you seriously.
Mate, if you check the Dawes' thread on our board, you will find that I have already recognised that I need to change my username. To do so and retain my statistics requires a monetary payment and a new username. I don't yet have a new username that I would be happy adopting.

It is going to be ironic when Dawes is traded for significantly more than Tippett.

What would you expect collingwood to offer for tippett presuming you have your list but our picks and he has said he will only go to collingwood

Given that you won the premiership, I don't want to see you strengthened without losing something of value, and I imagine other supporters who want their teams to win a premiership feel the same way. However, if you are alluding to the Ball trade, we did offer St Kilda pick 25 and Sharrod Wellingham which they rejected.

I agree that Sydney should offer no more than they have to give. However, I would like to see them forced to pay more than pick 23, because I'd enjoy seeing Collingwood win another premiership sometime in the next 5 years.

I can respect that. But it was just a hypothetical to see who you would want collingwood to offer in the same circumstance, was not alluding to anything else.

Um you start at either age 5 or 6 based on where your birthday falls in order to class sizes under control (an old and out dated practice)

Sydney's private schools and uni's are the most sort after in the whole country (sure some other schools focus extremely well on a small number of things but genuinely speaking Sydney uni's are the shit)

Quality of life? You complained the ac/dc concerts were too loud, illegal confiscate people's cars, have anti association laws, prostitution and casinos are banned, shitloads of murders and are the reason the country doesn't have 18+ rating for video games. Not to mention being boring as batshit your whole market thing are closer to fairfield market rather then parklea let alone Flemington.

Beer is shit rum is much better.

Chicks? Mate stop trolling around Penrith and get out to the north shore Sheila's be hot.

Iced coffee is a Moos drink

Your missing out on not eating Devon pigs in a blanket are the shit.

JPK was born in vic, and the greatest swan of all time was from wagga

Is pasty a fancy name for a pie? Because Goldstein pies are the best.

Also you might find this hard to believe outside of south Australia people don't have naked photos of there mother's unless she is a centrefold.
Ahem.. Melbourne Uni is the best in Australia.
But yes, fair enough on the rest - though wasn't adelaide just rated a more liveable city than sydney recently...

The thing I love most about this whole situation is people complaining about how Sydney enticed Kurt to choose Sydney. The reason why I love it is that I can see the situation only getting worse for opposition in the future.. Players looking for a fresh change will be looking to Sydney more than ever. They see that the club is extremely efficient and successful. Theyl see how we contested for 2 premierships in 05 and 06, they will also see that they made finals every year bar 1 since whilst ushering in a new breed of players without bottoming out and won another premy this year. Living in Sydney they will escape the scrutiny they get in melb, wa and sa. Sydney is the new glamour team of the afl and we urge all players that want to get out of their clubs to submit applications to join the swans. We will then choose the best of u and we also have extra salary cap than everyone else so we offer fantastic wages..... CHOOSE SYDNEY!

I urge all opposition Fans to follow the his and lows of the careers of our late5th and 6th round draft picks with anticipation because in 3-4 years they will be wearing ur clubs colors after we trade them for one of ur champion players when they decide to join the almighty SYDNEY SWANS!!!

I'd rather give them our spud first round picks. Our late draft picks turn into Goodes, O'Keefe, Johnson, Smith, Malceski, Parker, Jack and Grundy

Most liveable city is bullshit it's as corrupt as choosing hosts for the FIFA world cup.
melbourne is far more liveable than sydney, don't even try arguing against that. Adelaide is more liveable than sydney but only as you get older, a tad on the boring side when you are young.

How do you expect supporters and a club to react to a player who lies about wanting to go home and goes for the $$$$s. Tippett is the type of player whose actions will antagonise even the most tolerant supporters. I can imagine the reception he will receive from Adelaide supporters and players in his first away game against Adelaide, and you can hardly blame them, unless, of course, you support Sydney. Tippett would hardly be regarded as a quality person by Adelaide fans and players.

I actually don’t give a rip - I only support the Swans. My only concern is for the club and I just hope our management secure what is best for us to win next year's premiership. I'm actually luke warm on Tippett, but my previous comments refer to the AFC's stupidity in getting emotive and how it will only alter the outcome negatively for them.

BTW I know it’s the off season but surely as a collywooble supporter you can find something to whinge about without going to other clubs for inspiration - it’s not like you don't have number one KPP for whinging in the AFL although MM might give you a run at Carlton (was he off contract?)

reid, micky o, hanners (second round), mumford, kirk... we like our late rounders. anywhere from 25 to 60

Okay, hypothetically we could offer Reid as a straight swap, assuming that he would agree to join his brother in Sydney. The one problem is Tippett's concussion worries - he cannot take big hits to the head without risking serious damage. Sydney should make him wear a helmet.

Do you need a Goldsack or Nathan Brown or Fasolo with our first round pick (18)?

Jesse White isn't even relevant to Adelaide's needs. Somebody of more substance than White should hypothetically be offered, probably involving a Victorian club collecting a player and handing a 1st round pick to Sydney.

I have only read the last few pages of this thread so excuse me if I repeat anything said earlier. I recall the Swans taking Nick Davis from us for a lowly pick 28, despite the fact that he was worth a top 10 pick. You guys knew you were going to get him anyway because of the go-home factor. After he had been a personal favourite at the Pies, I hated Nick Davis for the remainder of his career, especially when he kicked the memorable 4 goals in the prelim final.

With the Swans just having won the premiership this year it almost seems outrageous that you can add to your squad a champion 200cm forward. What is even more frustrating is the offer from the Swans to Adelaide of pick 22 and a player in White who may well be delisted anyway. I seriously hope that the Swans are forced to part with a player more valuable than Jesse White in exchange for Tippett.

Tippett and Nick share in common a lack of loyalty and honesty to their former clubs. Tippett's selection of Sydney is more opportunistic than Nick's because Kurt used the go-home factor to leave a club but chose Sydney's money offer instead. However, their lack of commitment is Sydney's gain, and Tippett will almost certainly benefit from Sydney's unique ability to get the best from players.

Hopefully Sydney are made to pay a reasonable price for Tippett. Luke Parker + pick 22 is probably about as close to acceptable as is likely to occur in the circumstances. Surely Adelaide is not going to allow itself to be bent over and defiled by the Swans?! The other AFL teams obviously have more than enough difficulty competing with Sydney without allowing the 2012 premiers to recruit a super valuable player for next to nothing.

I hate Collingwood and everything to do with them but I don't go on your board and tell you all about it. F**k off back to the slums where you came from.

I never said it was all I said was the list is bullshit in what world is Adelaide in any way shape or form more liveable then Sydney?

It's goes on junkets and shit who entertains the judges FFS Auckland made the top ten Auckland I lived in Auckland for 3 years and never once had a bus arrive on time in a city that goddamn small it doesn't make sense.

God I hate that godawful ring road set up.

Remind me how the Pies recruited Luke Ball again?

BTW, we didn't recruit Nick Davis for pick 28. And to say he was worth a top ten pick is fanciful, either with or without the benefit of knowing how the rest of his career panned out. He was a handy player who could have been pretty good had he been more committed to his football (ie fitness) but winning one game (fantastic as he was) hardly makes him worthy of a top 10 pick.

Oh, and remind me what the Pies gave us for Rocca when they poached him just a couple of years into his career? Now there was a poster boy for loyalty to the club that drafted him, a bit like Nathan Buckley.

Can you get a trade on BF?
From my experience with The Chief at Customer Service, all your personal data and particulars can be retained if you take out some kind of membership or pay $20. When I create a new name, I will go and speak to The Chief. The Chief is a Carlton supporter. He sees life in blue and white but he still might be a decent person.
