Would that be the same as other leagues organising games over Easter?? They come too us mate & we accepted! They then cancelled yesterday only 2 days after telling me they had atleast 22 players!

I understand it's tough times, but it's a fair lack of respect to 30 other bloke's that decided to give up plans for that weekend with family & friends so they could put in extra work to get some practice matches under their belt only for it to be cancelled.....

Anyway we'll move on, still have 2 more coming up so we focus on that now..... 👍🏾

It would appear one game so with top age thirds reserves and seniors . Probably 45-55 players to get 22 .
Fully fledged with all grades is a completely different story .
Know of a few having a gallop this weekend on a similar basis.

And good on them if they are able to get the numbers... but I'm pretty sure there would be a few blokes who have put in a solid pre season that wouldn't mind having the long weekend to themselves and their families.

Absolutely! Again as I said, Tocumwal came to us & asked for that weekend so I put it to the playing group & to their credit they were keen to get stuck into it, learn the new systems, playing style etc so they said yes so we were keen to get into it!

What u need to understand Jayco is the fact that the KDFL start 2 weeks after the other league's & for us we start 3 weeks due to playing Rushworth in the 1st Round & them not having seniors meaning organising practice matches isn't as straightforward as it seems! Throw in Easter & its a logistical nightmare! Our last practice match is the 25th March, our 1st Senior game is 22nd April that's 4 weeks apart so tell me is there an issue that players want to get in as much match sim as possible otherwise what happens when Round 1 comes & my senior side wants to play against Rushy 2's to get extra match fitness heading into our 1st game against Undera? I bet you's would all scrutinise me if that happened?? So you need to think about the complications here not just what weekend it is..... 👍🏾

Calm the farm Smooth... I'm not having a go at you for trying to get your practice matches in... I'm just saying that over a long weekend I'd assume it'd be harder to get the numbers, as Toc have found out.

Haha mate I'm calm, I'm trying to explain! They had numbers! They told me Tuesday they still had atleast 22, I even offered up some for extra rotations to get the game done! I would've thought for a club that has complained about their current location in the PDFL & not being affiliated blah blah blah & leaving only weeks before the season starts to go to a "Premier League" that they'd be fully committed club wide ready to put in the extra work to get the best out of themselves! Obviously not!

Anyway mate, enough of that, lets move on see you's Round 1..... 😉👍🏾

Hey guys, I was just wondering what the numbers are like in the ressies this year? I'm moving to Shepparton next week. I realize I might be a bit late but was potentially keen to have a kick. I haven't played in over 10 yrs though. But I recently quit smoking and have been trying to get fit which I am not atm. Probably a bench warmer at best. But would be happy to help out if anyone needed. Travel no issue. I'll probably get around and watch a game or two anyway. Cheers

If I was going to Shep under your circumstances I’d give the major leagues the flick and head out to one of the minor leagues eg the KDL . Out them I’d choose Tally ( Tallygaroopna) that’s only based on my experience you can really do whatever you please.

Thanks for that. Yeah I was thinking a smaller club who might be struggling to make a team. I'd be happy to travel 30 mins or so out. I might jump on maps and see the distance between towns for kdfl
