Think that comment is a bit of a put down to the KDL Tysonic! How can you say “wasting his time” if he is playing football? Play wherever you are comfortable as a player. There are some incredibly talented athletes in the KDL which is fantastic for the league and the communities they represent.

A very relevant comment Hilly considering a Lancy Reserve player told me this week that a few Tongala senior players wouldn’t get a game in the Wombat senior team. Due to family reasons I don’t see enough ( if any) of the Lancy senior team play. But if you have seen both play this season a couple of times you would be much more qualified than me to give an opinion.

No problem Hilly… your first comment isn’t contradictory at all if you read it carefully. It doesn’t really matter anyway, teams that are placed in the bottom half of a certain leagues may sometimes have players not necessarily good enough to play in the top tier teams of so called lesser ranked leagues.

Wasn’t a bad watch at Avenel v Murch today. Avenel hit the front early in the 3rd Qtr before Murchison ran away with it. Don’t think scoreboard reflects the game as I feel it was a much closer contest. Big crowd was also good to see on a Sunday!
Avola outstanding, Avenel Full forward #22 Hoysted Impressive.
Aiden Lloyd is a gun, and Cashion/Milney still a handy footballers.

Murch got caught with 19 on the ground at one point of the 3rd qtr, and the punishment was a free kick and 50m penalty. I was always under the impression scores were meant to be wiped but obviously that rule has changed. Wouldn’t that have sparked some controversy!!

I’m still under impression Avola is best in league. There are other guns who can contend for best but Avola is best for me!!! Copping a tag every week speaks for itself. Saw the comment last week about the bloke tagging him being best but no one called Ryan Crowley best when he might’ve tagged out Gary Ablett?
Anyway. Seems like a lot to unfold from weekend. Lancaster now seems best and in prime at full strength after belting Nagabie…

Only second game I’ve seen this season and both games Avola has been tagged and still was beat on by a mile.
Was surprised with some results this weekend especially Nagambie v Lancaster and it looks like they can go all the way with the exception of Shep East.
Tally getting walloped by Stanhope makes me wonder how Longwood and Avenel lost to them. I didn’t see Stanhope v Avenel last week but could only assume the something was a miss going off Avenel performance today.
But looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring especially being my first season following the KDFL.

Certainly more questions than answers out of the weekend, can only take Avenel on their performance last week, so very surprised they pushed Murch-Toolamba, thought Lancy with their top liners back might just get over the line of Nagambie, but certainly didn’t see a 3 goal to 13 drubbing. Tally by their own admission where disappointing and with a tough run ahead, things would be looking bleak for them.
As for the talk on Avola, Jye didn’t tag him, just played head to head and got the points fair and square. Think a couple need to watch a couple of Lancy games as there is atleast 4 (Mills, Davies, Simpson, Boscarini)just from that side that I’d be picking in my team before him.
