You'll find Afro has family connections throughout the club, A grade b&f named in honour of his late mother, been wanting to get a game or 2 in for years welcomed with opened arms
Yep, family is huge at the club. Spent his pre-football playing days running around at Lancaster as a kid.

Amazing that heā€™s finally pulling in the jumper after all these years.

Lanky and Ky are prime examples of major and minor league clubs working together.

Itā€™s a formula that should have been followed by clubs across the state for decades

Great for Lancy and Ky with ongoing success at both club showing its benefits .
But whatā€™s it doing for the remaining clubs that surround Kyabram ?
For that reason I believe a formal arrangement so that all get a slice of pie should have been instituted 15 + years ago .

Paulo in the square with his size 15 hands....and now "Afro" racking them up and setting them up...along with the already established stability...anyone get the feeling that the Wombats are building nicely at the pointy end šŸ¤”
When did afro last play a game of footy???

All results pretty much going as expected but big effort by SE nearly stealing the points. 4 goal to one last qtr , who was there ?..did the hoppers take the foot off ?
Murch had the Eagles at arms length for most of the game. However SE seemed to up the pressure and were a bit cleaner and quicker around the ball and were attacking a little more. Really desperate and Murch were probably lucky in the end to escape with a draw. Horrendous conditions but Murch need to learn to win the close ones? Cheers

A one point loss at a similar stage to Nagambie last year cost a top 2 finish.

If results go as expected, it will come down to final game when SE play Lanky, with the winner getting a top 2 spot along with MT.

Gee imagine that, Lancy doesnā€™t lose a game all season until the last round and it costs them a top 2 spot!

what's with some of the scores being reduced to zero? play hq showing longwood 0-86 rushworth, violet town 0-139 merrigum and rushworth 46-0 girgarre (the last 1 cost gig a win)

The Violet Town Merrigum game Tim Ross played without points allocated. He actually played enough games for a points rollover last year and played over 300 games at VT so was assumed when he was asked 5 mins before the game to play when someone went down in the warm up he would have points so we didn't even contemplate contacting the league to get sorted that late before the game

Stupid isn't it. I was talking to a club president on the weekend and he suggested (he may have even taken it too the league) that in situations like this you have until Monday to sort your points/registrations out. And if by Monday your still under your points cap.. you're fine, but if the player takes you over then your in trouble.
How many of these issues are from last minute team changes? Majority...
You'd think in this situation common sense would prevail.

And is it true that if you forfiet a game it's a $1500 fine???

10 Penalty Units for a forfeit. which is $500. I know our fine for that game was $500 WITH $250 Suspended

Yep talk about over administrating our game, if the above is true. We actually want a game of footy on the weekend, not points taken off and clubs fined for something like this. Have your points completed 9am Monday morning that are finalised to the hub

again lot of unecessary pressure on volunteers should a curly one present. if the play hq or sporting pulse or whatever platofrm the afl uses isnt adequately set up surely its on the full time paid folk in hubs or leagues to own any error. if a guy has played 300 retired and comes back to help his c lub out and his history isnt online its not the club or players fault surely.
too much red tape pushing participants and voliunteers away.

Couldnā€™t agree more . System should be automated as such to allocate points . If not clubs should have access with responsibility falling on clubs if they allocate the wrong points which has clubs playing over their points allocation . Clubs wearing the consequences for playhq not being fit for purpose and AFLā€™s micro management is poor form .
