i know for a fact that when paul and daniel harris played at rushy he was alot better than harris and the only reason he is not playing in the afl today is because he's mother wouldnt take him to pios.

Sounds like a few are leaving at Stanhope. Wont be anywhere near the side they were the last few years. Maybe give the other clubs a chance. But they will still be contenders.
One of last years captains might be on the move as well.
But Stanhope usually have a few good new recruits, maybe not enough to cover all the losses this year.

Dont worry bt mainland they will pick up wat they have lost there is always 7-9 players turnd ovr in previous years and still won very easily.

Thats an interesting fact there iwillneverbesilenced!! Only problem the fact is that Paul and Daniel are a year apart and if Paul was playing in underage games with Daniel then that would probably explain why he was a lot better with the extra 12months under his belt.
Played a bit of footy with Morgs and a fair bit against him and he was never in the AFL draftee boat. Is a very good KDL player though and could hold his own at major league but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

yeah so what what its a year its not that big of a gap. really if you think about it i know quite a few teams where alot of the younger players are better than the older players.

anyway not arguing he is a great player and will be very handy for the lakers if he is playin there.
 
Caught up with Bryce Wellington yesterday and he tells me he's crossing to Merrigum as well. He played last year with his brother Linc at Numurkah, and at Tat the year before.
Also told me Merrigum have 80k to spend.....not sure how true that is, but Bryce only plays for coin, so they must have a bit.

Undera starting training on Wednesday 28th of Jan at grounds 6:15pm with BBQ to follow. Will more than likely enter two sides in Benalla night series.

On the departure side only two guys possibly leaving. One going to work in the mines Nick Patton and Stuie Griffen thinking about going overseas on a working holiday, but not definite. Both awsome clubmen and would be sadly lost, but always encourage people to take opportunities.

On the recruiting a number have said they are coming out but too early to confirm as yet. Probably make some announcements middle of Jan.

Summer activities, Matt Pell playing very good tennis and yet to be beaten by his coach this summer, although there have been a couple of draws and coach is closing in.

Paul Mahoney batting and bowling well in cricket nets but coach has probably got his measure just at the moment. Could be an early forerunner to a reformed Undera cricket team for 2009/10

****, are you rooting Morgs? I watch them both play all their under age footy at Rushy and Harro was that far in front of Morgs it isnt funny! The boy was a sheep dog, wouldnt put his head over the ball and soft as, so I have no idea where you get your info from mate. I would go as far as to say Anthony Vanderdonk was a way better junior then Morgs, i know he was a year older, but shit alot better then Morgs, so get your hand off it mate!
