:rolleyes:Hm Hawthorn losers are so insecure they bring up a thread thats a year old.

Might as well go find an Ablett vs whoever thread from 06

this is just about the worst thread ive ever seen...is this for real?

EDIT: Just read the date... still pretty bad though.

Cloke will be a genuine CHF and ver valuable player. Franklin is the upgraded version of Richo and could be anything or could implode. Right at the moment, he's bloody scary.

if u could choose one to be on ur team who would u choose?

personally i'd take franklin just cos hes way more exciting to watch
most stupid thread ever. at least carey or ablett thread has some subjective views behind it.
franklin has cloke covered in every aspect. oh cloke can kick a little further, thats it

cloke is a s.o.a.c (son of a champion). the whole family oozes brilliance. in ten years time every1 will say trav cloke. he is courages a brilliant set shot and a true leader. j.w.a.s (just wait and see)

Are you sure?

Franklin has kicked of 2 steps 3 or 4 metres inside the square at the G to sail through the goals and clear the fence.

Lets compare Sam Mitchell with Shane O'Bree next. No bugger it, we'll just compare Hawthorns Senior team with Collingwoods VFL team - that sounds like a similar standard comparison!!!

You people realise that this thread was made about this time last year, right? That was long before Franklin established himself as one of the top players in the competition. He was a freak at the time, and most could see his potential would take him a lot further than Cloke, but at the time the gap wasn't anywhere near what it is now. Yet you still see the tired old responses, "is this thread serious?" Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Wrong. This time last season, only the ignorant people spoke of Franklin's potential.
But Hawthorn fans applauded every single one of his 73 goals and 49 tackles.

The toe jam on Buddy's right foot >>>> Travis Cloke

This thread was a joke when it was created and it's funny to see it bumped a year later

Clokey! Catch the ball! Duhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Well, given that last year Franklin was nowhere near as good as this year, far more inconsistent and nowhere near as good overhead... plus Cloke won our B&F last year... then the thread had some merit. This year it does not. And no, the toe jam on Buddy's right foot is not >>> Cloke. An appropriate or reasonable response to a bumped thread such as this is, "wow, hasn't the gap widened enormously? This isn't even a worthy matchup anymore". But I know you wouldn't understand anything 'reasonable', Chewy. Carry on.

And what do you mean, "only ignorant people spoke of his potential"?

Are you seriously that deluded that you cannot see the enormous improvement this year? Buddy was an excellent forward last year. This year he is the best forward. Last year it was potential, that was translated into performance once every two or three weeks. This year, it's pretty much every week. The point is, last year they were somewhat close in their output, in their respective roles, however the gap in potential separated them a great deal. Now that most (some?) of Franklin's potential has been fulfilled, the gap is very wide on performance too.

Franklin was a gun last season. You could see he still had improvement in him, but he still performed well and kicked goals every week. It used to shit me how people spoke of his potential and his inconsistency. Just because he didn't kick 9 goals every week (like he did against McPhee and Fletcher) , he was still one of the most consistent forwards in the AFL.

Cloke was very good, did very well to win the Copeland, but anyone could see that these two players were poles apart.

Apples and oranges.
