This guy seems quite rational despite being evacuated from his house.

Wow a black man in California sticking up for Trump, I thought Trump was a racist, surely he should have voted for Kamala Harris.

Even black people in California know that Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris are duds and prefer President Trump and Elon Musk.

I've been to LA a couple of times - 07 & again in 2012/13 - while I know some ask why but it was somewhere I loved to visit and had still on my bucket list with somewhere like Long Beach that I hadn't got to

Both trips I stayed West Hollywood, which allows for each access to a walk up Runyon Canyon for the best views of LA and also went to Santa Monica & Malibu - so watching what's happening with these fires, it just hits a little as they're places that have provided good memories in the past

It's a great spot to stay and maybe the best in Los Angeles.

Plan to go for my 7th time in September, never get bored of things and areas to see.

This is driven by climate change which Trump is going to make significantly worse. Race doesn't pick and choose when it comes to stupid people.

Looks like Trump hates Gavin Newsom as much as Adam Carolla.

To think he is being suggested as a potential Democrat presidential candidate, he would be even worse than Kamala Harris.

I wouldn't say this LA wildfire disaster is all his fault but he would be partly to blame, he is an all talk no action type of guy.

There is a reason more people are leaving California now than going there for the first time in history, it's turned into a shitshow.

This wildfire disaster is a day of reckoning for all the LA celebrities voting for the Democrats, now that some of their houses have burned down they might be changing their tune.

Sad thing about any natural disaster is that certain people enjoy it as it provides fuel (excuse the pun). An opportunity to attack the governing side. So in many ways, it's a good thing politically.

Exactly. I wouldn't want my tax payer dollars from Ohio going to help the rich celebs in California. That's why when President Trump initially rejected Federal disaster relief in the wake of the 2020 fires I was happy.

Why should my tax payer dollars go help other people who were too stupid to live in a Democratic state? :drunk:

No you're doing it wrong you're meant to say Trump being back is good because he's going to help people

Some basics from these fires which seems to be getting overlooked:

After millions of views spreading lies about the Palisades firefighters lacking water because of regulations, the boring truth comes late like usual and wont be shared. Here it is:

1 - Reservoirs and water tanks were at normal levels and completely full before the fire.

2 - All 114 city water supply tanks were fully stocked pre-fire.

3 - A 15-hour surge at four times normal demand reduced water pressure.

4 - High demand at lower elevations slowed refilling tanks at higher elevations.

5 - This unprecedented fire was fueled by 8 months of no rain and 85 MPH winds. Water is being brought in continuously.

6 - Even if, like Trump claimed, the protection of the Delta Smelt caused over regulation by California, it's the FEDERAL Endangered Species Act that requires the protection of endangered species like the Delta Smelt and their habitats, not Gavin Newsom or California.

Point 5 is a pretty significant one - 85mph winds, or roughly 140kmh winds are speeds approaching cyclonic wind speeds. That stopped firefighting aircraft from being able to attack the fires from the air due to the dangerous conditions

With early air support available things may have been different, but the conditions worked against those trying to do their jobs
