That's the problem with us Freo supporters Quinz, keep setting ourselves high standards only to continually be letdown.

Therefore, I expect nothing less than Top 8 next year
If you set no goals you will never be disappointed. :D

I think Freo are heading in the right direction now, will be turning over a fair proportion of the list this year, a few high draft picks and some excellent youngsters coming through, just need a bit more quality spread through the field, Pavlich is a superstar no doubt, McPharlin and Sandilands are stars, but need some quality through the midfield- Palmer, Ibbo, Warnock (if he stays) and Nick Nat possibly this year will be the foundation of that.

1. hawthorn
2. geelong
3. brisbane (presuming brown stays)
4. st. kilda
5. port power
6. carlton
7. adelaide
8. north melbourne
9. footscray
10. richmond
11. collingwood
12. fremantle
13. sydney
14. west coast
15. essendon
16. us. again.

This is what I think the ladder will look like this time next year.

1. Geelong
2. Hawthorn
3. North Melbourne
4. Western Bulldogs
5. Adelaide
6. Richmond
7. Brisbane
8. Sydney
-------------------
9. Collingwood
10. Essendon
11. St. Kilda
12. Carlton
13. West Coast
14. Port Adelaide
15. Fremantle
16. Melbourne

Seems like a good prediction. Your thoughts?

Freo lost 8 games by less tahsn 10 points i think they are a bit low just for one. I think west coast will improve dramatically once there 16 injured players are back . Sydney and adelaide to slide

Hawthorn
Geelong
Port Adelaide
Fremantle
North Melbourne
Bulldogs
Carlton
Richmond

St Kilda
Adelaide
Sydney
Brisbane
West Coast
Collingwood
Essendon
Melbourne

And to go one further...

1st week winners-
Hawthorn def Fremantle
Geelong def Port Adelaide
North def Richmond
Carlton def Bulldogs

2nd week winners
North def Fremantle
Port Adelaide def Carlton

3rd week winners
Geelong def North Melbourne
Hawthorn def Port Adelaide

4th week winner
Hawthorn defeat Geelong by 1 point, buddy kicks 12 goals 6. Hodge wins the Norm Smith medal.

I usually get these things pretty wrong.

This year I tipped West Coast, Port, Freo and Brisbane to all make the 8 I think

Anyway...

1) Geelong/Hawthorn
2) Hawthorn/Geelong, can raffle it really
3) North Melbourne
4) Saint Kilda
5) Richmond
6) Fremantle
7) Carlton
8) Western Bulldogs

9) Adelaide
10) Sydney
11) Collingwood
12) West Coast
13) Port
14) Brisbane
15) Essendon
16) Melbourne

Big improvers I have are Fremantle, Richmond, Carlton and to a lesser extent West Coast (I can't see them finishing that low again)

Sliders I have are Collingwood, Sydney and Adelaide but I could so easily interchange any team from 3-11.

Only thing I am confident about is Geelong and Hawthorn to be top 2 and Essendon and Melbourne to be bottom 2.

And yes, I am very biased.

Adelaide and Collingwood will probably prove me wrong (again) and make finals.

My 2009 Ladder

1. Geelong (Do you really see a fall from grace in 12 months? I dont)
2. Hawthorn (Geelong=Batman, Hawthorn=Robin)
3. Port Adelaide (2007=Career Best for most players, 2008=Career worst)
4. Carlton (Take a major step in 2009)
5. North Melbourne (Always fighting, everyone always tips them to do bad)
6. Richmond (Time for richmond to return to september)
7. Collingwood (Will be making up numbers)
8. Bulldogs (Depth will be tested)
-----------------------------
9. West Coast (Worsfold shocks everyone, 2010=2005/06)
10. Adelaide (Unlucky to miss, just a few areas that im uncertain about)
