Spots 3 to 5 are up for grabs (hawks, WCE and blues), as are 7-8 (Dees, Saints, North, Freo and Tigers). Bound to be some changes.

Feel pretty certain that the Cats and Pies will be 1 and 2 and sydney will finish 6th.

The 8 looks about right to me, although I am certainly hoping Richmond win more than 1 more game before the end of the season.

1. Collingwood
2. Geelong
3. Hawthorn
4. Carlton
5. Sydney
6. West Coast.
7. Freo
8. Melbourne

9. Saints
10. North
11. Dogs
12. Essendon
13. Richmond
14. Adelaide
15. Lions
16. Port
17. GC

Top 6 are done. After that its a real dogfight. Got Freo and Melbourne, a game ahead of the saints.

Imagine that for a 1st week for a finals series. Coll vs Carl, Gell vs haw, WCE vs Freo in the first finals derby. Only thing better was if North snuck into 8th.

ok. Dont think u could assume we would lose all away matches. Id expect us to beat north melbourne at etihad.

The only thing that will stop us beating Freo is umpire interference.

Again.

worth revisiting a few weeks later, and seeing how the ladder has changed... the main changes in the last few weeks has been the improvement in Essendon and the Western Bulldogs, and the Blues dropping a couple they would've fancied themselves in... my ladder now reads:

Pies
Cats
Hawks
Eagles
Blues
Swans
Dees
Dogs
-------------
Bombers
Saints
Roos
Dockers
Crows
Tigers
Lions
Power
Suns

the Dogs sneak into 8th with 11 wins, Melbourne with 11 wins and a draw in 7th... West Coast continue their good form, and are likely to drop one along the way, but so are the other sides and I'll think they will still finish 4th... only change from my top 8 in the OP is the Saints out of 8th and displaced by the Dogs...
