Scarlett has won the full back position in AA for the last two years and 4 games into the new season (of which scarlett didnt play 1) isnt enough to say anyone is better.

Can someone put up the stats on the reverse Coleman for the last 3 or 4 years. Any other relevant stats such as average positions and goal assists etc would also be great. I have a fair memory of hearing Scarlett giving away about 25ish goals last year (best in league) and Lake closer to 40.

Scarlett conceded 25 goals for the season last year. Lake conceded 38. Interestingly, Scarlett kept Hall goalless last year, but he kicked 6 on Lake.

As far as average possessions go, both are remarkably similar. Scarlett averaged 18.5 possessions a game @ 88% efficiency. Lake averaged 18.9 possessions a game @ 84% efficiency.

Lake lead the league in marks from opponents kicks and took far more contested marks then any other full back. Both are different, Scarlett provides more run, Lake more regularly outmarks his opponent. The ability to stop an attack fully by marking the ball rather then spoiling is invaluable as is the work he does zoning off helping team mates in marking contests

Maybe if Scarlett had played on the best players then we might be able to compare
He'll play on like Campbell Brown, Scott Welsh etc and then shows will come out with how he's only had like 1 goal conceded in his last 4 matches and racked up 20 disposals in the most disposal happy team in the league.
