You're the only one who thinks so. It was one of the most perplexing and embarrassing AA teams of all time.

It was pretty tough having only one opportunity to vote, but I took Goodwin JUST ahead of Maxwell.

Second that motion Nev - there were more questionable calls in this year's AA selection than was even the case in previous years IMO. The credibility of AA selections is disappearing with each passing season I think.

And no Porplyzia or LeCras, not only the two standout small forwards in the competition but two of the standout forwards this year.

I think Davis deserves AA selection, just not in the forward pocket where I would've had LeCras. I'd have him on the bench.
Goodwin is baffling. Ridiculous that Edwards never gets AA but then this happens.
Wouldn't have Maxwell in there, surely one of the Saints was more deserving.

Perhaps because he conceaded the least amount of goals per game, and was easily the most attacking FB with Lake this season.

Judd lucky to be named on the ground ahead of Boyd & Dal Santo imo. How he got The vice captaincy ahead of Brown is a mystery to me.....Actually it's not considering Walls was on the selection panel.

Spot on. Especially as Porps spent a fair time in midfield like Davis, but still managed to kick a lazy 57.20 (best conversion rate in the league) in the same amount of games as Davis, who kicked 35.24. (LeCras also kicked 58.26 in 3 less games)

And for the record, agree Goody was extremely lucky to even make the 40.

Seems to be a lot of Maxwell haters here, yet when I look through the AA thread before the team was announced quite a few had him in the team ahead of Goodwin. In fact, basically nobody had Goodwin anywhere near AA. Clearly some people are just blinded by the fact that he is a Collingwood player.

Leon Davis should have been named on the bench and LeCras in the forward pocket. Both are deserving of being AA this year, but I like to think that LeCras was very unlucky rather than Davis lucky. If the dumbass selectors actually put Swan in the midfield and Judd on the bench, then there would be an extra forward position and Porplyzia and Lecras could have been picked in the side. They both deserve to be.

Even from a Crows supporter I put Goodwin.

In general, I think this shows that the AA selection is a reward for reputation and good performance over a sustained period (2-4 years) as opposed to what should be the true nature of the award - the best in that position in that year.

I reckon Gilbert and Porplyzia were stiff to miss out and Chapman was lucky (they wanted him to have at least one AA selection in his career) and Goodes was in on reputation rather than being the best in his position.
