With it looking more and more likely that Laidley is going to de-list brown, I think we should be seriously looking at him to strengthen our depleted backline.
With Nathan Brown still in development i believe that this bloke could hold down a key position defensive role til Nath is ready to fire.
With abit of Malthouse magic you never know he could be the story of the year.
Its just a thought!

Nar, i dont rate this bloke at all. He hardly got a gig over there, and although being handy when playing for Werribee, he was still ordinary for an AFL listed player. I just dont think we should be clogging up our list with players like this.

Yeh list clogger for mine. He may turn around and be a handy backmen but we have Presti for now and should be giving as much exposure to Brown, Anthony, Reid and whoever else we have earmarked for the role rather then getting a stop gap who at best may be an ordinary AFL defender.

We'd be silly to sign up Brown; definite list clogger as mentioned above. I don't know if the game has seen a softer player in such a frame, I'm surprised that North Melbourne persisted with him for as long as they have.

He did play some football at Freo. Then we got him. He was never a permanent member of the 22, and I'm not making excuses for Laidley, who seemed to have a thing for him and refused to end it.

Now he has, and now you've got him. For your sake, I hope Malthouse doesn't do the same thing.

Good luck to Leroy though, great clubman and deserves to go out on his own terms. I hope you give him that, at least.
