It's time for Rodney Eade to move on no doubt. The Dogs' window has closed now and unfortunately Rocket couldn't get them there. They need to go back to the drawing board and start by cleaning out the coaches and some of the players. Leon Cameron would be a very good choice.

If eade is moved on then so be it .

However if I was a Doggies supporter I would be super pissed off if the replacement had already been decided. I would much prefer that the position be open to all comers and the prospect coach would win the postion on their own merit. You just never know who is going to apply.

The Club would IMO look a bit silly having already given Cameron the nod if a Malthouse or Roos become available.

I actually think the Doggies need someone from outside to come in and make the necessary changes ..... whats the saying.... "a new broom".... and all that.

Not what I have been told they want a Bulldogs man to come in they want want it to be something Simular to Ess Hird and Bris Voss Eade will coach the whole year they want Cameron to have a fresh start next year and make it a big build up

Similar names. Cameron, Richardson, Sumich, Sanderson, Hinkley (would be good). Goodwin only retired from playing last year - doubt he'd be on the radar except at the Crows.

And that is the very reason why Smorgon has to go and why they will never succede with him at the helm...

1, If he said it, he really should keep his mouth shut out of respect for Eade. If he is saying that about the head coach, what is he saying about other people.

2, Who cares if the next coach has former ties to the club, they should be going after the best available. Imagine how this conversation would end "Mick, I know you want the job after leaving the pies, but you have previous dealings with the club"
