It was in Kym's mind and nobody would dare challenge him on it. He was a scary dude. All 5'8" of him.
Agreed Ford, Kym Kinnear played well above his height and weight and could show quite a few players of today what it used to mean to pull on the PB's in the days when we had tough players all over the field and if you took on one you took on the whole team.

I can recall a game at Alberton in the late 1970's against Westies when a fairly highly credentialed ex VFL player who was around the 6' 3'' and 15 stone mark in the old money had a couple of solid cracks at him on the grandstand wing, and even though he was much smaller Kinnear gave back a lot more than he got, including a couple of well placed elbows into the bloke's ribs.

It was akin to a fox terrier taking on a much larger dog and coming out on top!

Richo finally shows his face and its due to flexing his big time connections to land us a deal with....whatever this is.

Apparentlty an ex board member lmao. Jobs4dahboiz.

Pairing with the dude who setup our initial shitful branding, fcukin pumped.

Did Richardson just get out of a sauna?

Watching the game last night made me realise I should probably give up following this club. I don't derive enjoyment watching us. I watch only in the hope that we lose. I'm starting to hate the players, especially big chuck, really anyone that does anything good that means we're more likely to win. NTUA is utterly cringe and our branding is lame. Our social media posts are a joke.

This all stems from stinkers and our lame admin of course, but it's making me hate the rest of the club. Will sacking Hinkley get me back on board? I don't even know anymore.

I went for the first time in ages, not with the kids but with a mate. We decided to leave at half time, not any other reason other than the game was terrible, I figured we’d win but I realised I’ve become completely disconnected.

It was such a flat crowd.

If he’s still here next year I’ll probably pull my $800 and give it a break.

It was a depressing watch on TV, I imagine it was worse at the stadium. We are so incredibly stale.

I feel exactly the same way, wanting the opposition to win but that is the new Port, doing it for themselves when they feel like it, not the club and supporters.

3 B&F's 78,80 and 83 in a packed midfield of gun footballers. Fair effort.

Port Adelaide legend. Collingwood could never lure him back either.

All the media thought Glenelg had the flag in the bag after this game. 16.2. I mean come on.

I do remember going to this game. Peter Carey killed us.

27 scoring shots to 18. Nothing changes.

We did win premierships.

The days when the Maggies would have the foot on the throat of the oppo by half time for a 50 plus half time lead and keep it there in the 2nd half for an 80-100 plus win, compared to the Power's long history of cruising to a 35 plus point lead (particularly against lesser teams in the first half), putting the cue in the rack during the 3rd term and then virtually limping to unconvincing, and percentage damaging wins.

Unfortunately that killer instinct that Port Adelaide teams once had has never really been evident in our AFL history, there has been a weakness there for years and I suspect is the major reason it was publicly stated (I forget who actually said it 7 or 8 years ago), but it was something along the lines that any team that could hang in there for long enough against Port would always be a chance to get the chocolates.
I hate the lack of ruthlessness we've had from Choco onwards. I've ranted on this many times. Our lack of destroying teams in H&A games is one of the reasons we've never been a feared side in finals. Instead of meeting those sides again, where they are scarred from the last encounter, starting the game already lost in the back of their minds, they instead remember how they stopped the bleeding, if not outright won the last quarter/half and go in full of confidence.
